What is currently slopping up unto poorly protected shorelines is but a "tiny tip of a humongous iceberg". Thanks to the millions of gallons of deadly solvent Corexit poison (1 to 2 million gallons) helping to hide it below the ocean surface.

When hurricanes really get going through the Gulf--and all the hidden crude plumes begin to substantially "off gas" (due to real solar ocean heating build-up)--is when things should really become interesting.

And still, the EPA is quibbling about locals using rock berms (more storm-resistant and easier to clean than sand). While the Obama Regime makes superficial appearance allowance about allowing but one super-skimmer to "experimentally" process the (more difficult to separate) Corexit dispersed surface crude.

Many thanks to Obama and his blocking of other nation's offer to send their oil sweepers weeks ago.

All of this slick could have been contained if only Obama has common sense to allow help from all those oil sweepers. Now it's too late.

Even though the American political system is duopoly controlled, and literally functions on fraud-voting, corruption, blackmail and influence-peddling--there is one local level action that can still make a significant public-pressure difference:

EVERY LOCAL ELECTED COUNTY SHERIFF WHICH HAS ALLOWED THE FEDS AND BP TO DO THINGS "THEIR WAY" (against local interests)--SHOULD BE DENIED RE-ELECTION. Those colluding officials should also be sued, arrested or at least investigated for gross negligence.
