I do have an open mind. I have supported their right to protect their livestock, but not to the extent that they seek out animals to kill that have not been a threat to them and maybe never will be.
If ranchers all go through coyote predation on their calves, why don't they all have the same opinion on the solution? Some ranchers don't believe predators should be slaughtered wherever they are just because they exist.
Again you let your emotions get in the way of the facts of life.
If a rancher spent all his time hunting down the pack of coyotes which were attacking his herd, he'd never have any time to do anything else.
Coyotes breed like rabbits, and that's the reason why for the invite to help eradicate the pests.

rabbits and rodents breed like rabbits when predators aren't present. And coyotes breed more when their families are disrupted. And this has nothing to do with actual predator control it is just bonehead stuff.

I get the impression that it's okay for animals to attack and kill other animals, but humans are supposed to be 'artificially' different.
Nothing I said should give you that impression.

Myths about animals are passed from one generation to the next. It is their "kill is the ONLY option" mentality that causes the over-populations of various species. Nature knows best. Only when we interfere, things get out of balance.

I am a strong supporter of hunting rights. I eat wild game alot. I am not a supporter of slaughtering as many of any species as possible to pander to one group of people who only have their own best interest in mind.

I have a great idea. Next time the same idiots that are shooting these poor coyotes should have a human killing contest. The last one standing in that particular group of idiots can get a free rifle..

You first.
I hope you like the idea of either spending the rest of your life on the other side of the iron bars, or perhaps even being executed for MURDER 1.

Leave your misinformation to those on the other side of the pond where coyotes are only found in zoos.

You know nothing about psychoanalytic theory, nor are you aware of the historical facts.
Allow me to enquire: Are you familiar with the Oedipus Complex, or the Electra Complex? Both were written about in ancient Greek literature. And both are well established as facts of life.

"Its called Civil War part 2"

More like American Revolution #2.
I would certainly hope it doesn't come to that, at least not the shooting part.
But I fully comprehend from where it is that you speak, as there are many, many Americans who think they have the right to dictate to everyone else how they shall live, and not.
They love BIG government, and they always have their bloody hands out for more manna from BIG government.
As long as they are getting their government handouts, they don't care how much of their liberty is being taken away.
And I should mention that they will gladly spy on their neighbors, acting as 'government informants' not unlike what had happened in East Germany with the STASI.
It's always the so-called 'liberals' who pull that crap.

God, you talk like the depression was going on then. Do you really think if a hawk took a squirrel or rabbit that you would starve to death? There are PLENTY to go around. Sounds like you were really paranoid for no reason. Really...bring a disease to your livestock? What about the rodents that could bring disease to your livestock by eliminating the hawks that eat rodents? If you were that poor you could never trap fifteen acres worth of rodents. And putting poison out could kill the squirrels and rabbits you want to eat. Damn, there's that circle again.
The drepression didnt end in Arkansas until 1964 when Orvil Fabus got the boot. We elected republican Winthrop Rockefeller govenor and he & his family brought jobs to arkansas. I became a Republican after seeing what that rich man did with his wealth. And no there wernt plenty of rabbits & game to go around. Hunting terrritory was fercely defended. we never really had a rodent problem. feed was stored in rat proof metal drums. our dogs would kill rats. we had a rat terrier dashund beagle mix that was a litter runt. she was about the size of a chiwawu. she was heck on rat,s moles chipmunks ect. We always has at least a dozen dogs they slept under the house and on the porch. many times when there where puppys there where 40 + dogs. we sold coon hounds for big money. you could get enough money from one good dog to buy a good used PK. a good horse broke to work & ride was almost as valuable.

The whole balance of nature idea is a myth. just like Al gores glowbull warming. There never was a balance of nature. there have beeb population explosions & die off since the beginning of time. When there is plenty of habitat & food the population increases when the food or habitat declines the spieces declines.
