There are many thinks people don't know. The media do not inform them of that.

For example...

More than 14 years ago, I visited Amsterdam (Netherlands) and expended some days there. Particularily, it was my oportunity to visit the RLD. During those days, I saw several assaults, robberies at gunpoint, a blond big guy beating a poor Asian woman (nobody did anything), I saw junkies convulsionating on the streets, a drug addict former British schoolar that begged my 30 mins for some money... but the worst, in some restaurants was that I saw hundreds (thousands?) of ads of DESAPEARED YOUNGS, Americans, Canadians and from other European countries, and such.

No, I do not hate Duch people. In fact I like much what I saw there. Hopefully I would find the time to study Nederlaands and return there in a more cultural plan.

Strange, here in Mexico we are never informed that such things could happen in developed countries.

Mexican television also didn't reported much about the riots of the British youth that set afire a good portion of London, I don't remember if last year.

Do you know, that if you fail to pay your morgage in Spain, the bank will take the house, putting you on the street, and still you have to repay the whole morgage? Do you even heard, there in Canada, how many Spaniards have suicided for that?

But 6 Spanish girls are raped in Mexico, and it is suddenly reported, even in China.

(I don't know what is 'brewing' here,... don't know what's going on... hopefully nothing serious).

Anyway, you are right... there are many things that people doesn't know. The reality of most people is dictated by the media. Today, they dacided they have to inform that "Mexico is dangerous". Still there are many people that come to live here on a daily basis... many of them, from "developed countries".
