Can you forgive Lance Armstrong?

Jan 17, 2013 Full story: KARE-TV Minneapolis 8

Gore Vidal called us "the United States of Amnesia." And now Lance Armstrong's televised cheating confession raises the question of whether, when it comes to fallen heroes, there's anything Americans won't forgive and forget.

Of course I can forgive him.but only if he comes clean and tells all.Everyone knows pro cycling is one of the dirtiest sports out there. Not making an excuse for him and admittingly a long time Lance fan.It was win at all costs,an American ideal if ever I heard one.

has lance not pulled a blinder though? cycling, is now the most under the microscope, pardon the pun.but did lance not kickstart the global interest in what is one of most amazing sport or recreassion we can all take part in no matter our background? so now we all love it, could this man, be the man that has cheated the sport, people who he hurt, could this many have single handly made this sport the cleanest sport. there can be no more mistakes, tour riders should ride, for all we riders.

I agree he gave the sport some serious publicity! How many other sports have the same problems? How many people still have baseball cards of guys doing the same thing? Don't be haten

People may possible forgive Lance for Doping but I doubt very few will forgive him from the years of lying and bully antics. At Least he has came out and come clean and is in my view is genuine in his efforts of coming clean and explaining what went on the for over the past two decades. Cycling is definitely become a cleaner sport because of all this. Lance will be known as the best Doper and Cleaner up of doping from cycling and perhaps in future will be a strong symbol for anti-doping in sport. He has come clean the hard way but at least there will be closure on all these speculations over the years of lance doping or not.

He can be forgiven once he has served his sentence in the US for fraud and his sentence in the UK for perjury.

Lance isn't interested in forgiveness, he's interested in more lying and conning. Could anyone, seriously, believe anything that comes out of the mouth of that man? Really. If the cycling community is seriously interested in cleaning up the sport, you have to be dedicated to the idea that you must start with Lance. If he ever won another race again, could you ever believe he did it with honesty? Really? He is pathetic. He is all about Lance, and everything Lance can get out of anything. Wash your hands clean of the man, and accept and understand when you NEED to.
