Report: Iran's navy aims to put warships near US shores 'in the next few years'

TEHRAN, Iran - The head of Iran's navy says the country aims to put its warships in international waters off the U.S. coast "in the next few years." The comments Tuesday from Admiral Habibollah Sayyari on state TV are part of Iran's response to Washington's beefed up naval presence in the Persian Gulf. Read more

Some pretty intelligent gas, seeing as how dumb you are in comparison.
The winds blow over Israel, idiot. Death.
And by the way, Israel won't be able to count on American support soon lol

It seems impossible for you to make even a half-truthful comment. First, no nuclear strike is needed to damage Iran's nuclear facilities. Second, their nuclear facilities are deep under ground and would if hit conventionally by a deep penetrator not produce nuclear fallout. Third, the winds go west to east, so nuclear war would likewise go west to east. And the results?

"However, the main consequences of any such nuclear strike on the cities of Tel Aviv, Haifa and such important strategic targets as the nuclear facilities at Dimona, would be Israel's own immediate nuclear response and the inevitable near total destruction of many strategically important targets in Iran.

Tehran's military, economic and civilian infrastructure would be devastated and this could involve the deaths of as many as 30-50% of its entire population within just a few short years after the nuclear attack.

Indeed, with an almost guaranteed and probably even more devastating US response to any such attack on Israel or indeed one of Washington's Arab allies, Iran may even effectively cease to exist altogether as a functioning country. "

Hey Ken, will you go back to the Israeli army? You never criticize them for deliberately attacking our ship. I guess it's ok to attack US assets if you are of a certain group. Is that right Ken?? You should be ashamed of yourself.

Remember the Maine! Remember the USS Kearney! Remember The City of Rayville! Remember the SS John Harvey!! Remember the Liberty!!

Israel attacked the USS Liberty and in so doing shamefully killed and injured many aboard that ship. This was 45 years ago. Within days, Israel provided restitution. Only twenty years earlier, a war ended in which Germany attacked and sank US ships, Italians attacked and sank US ships, Japanese attacked and sank US ships. None of those latter three provided any restitution and yet the USA through the Marshall Plan provided them billions of dollars to get their countries functioning again after their defeats. Why should I now treat Israel any different than I treat Germany, Italy, and Japan? Got it, twat?

After a deliberate attack they provided restitution with the welfare we send them. We were at war with the other countries you mentioned. It's time to stop the welfare checks to all foreign countries and cut the military down to whay Canada spends. Israel is not our friend, they are a leach on our social security system.

In 1967, the year of the incident, Israel received NO money from the USA. Even if they had, there is no reason to punish Israel for a 45 year old act for which restitution was rendered.

Regarding our former enemies in Asia and Europe in WWII, we not only did not get restitution, we gave them billions of dollars for reconstruction. Russia on the other hand extracted restitution from the countries under its boot at the end of WWII and refused the Marshall Plan.

A bright Canadian has already slam-dunked your astoundingly stupid suggestion re cutting our military budget to the size of Canada's. I agree we must cut our military substantially, perhaps by about a third, and insist that other countries take on the load we have carried for too long. Our defense budget, which as shrunk as a percent of the GDP every year for some time now is about 5% of our GDP. Were it to be eliminated entirely, we still would not be able to balance our books.

I agree Israel is not our friend, but it is not our enemy as is Iran. I personally am not a supporter of Israel's current leader or many of its current policies. I support Israel's legal right to exist within its borders established in 1947.

Social Security money does not go to Israel. I agree we should cut foreign aid to some countries in that region, including Israel. SS money comes from a trust fund and is sufficiently funded only until 2036. Our fiscal system will collapse well before then.
