Once again this President wants it both ways, peace and war at the same time. Just as he wants healthcare reform that benefits health insurance companies, banking and investment reform that benefits Wall St., and election reform that benefits his and his opponents' parties only.

How can a man straddle the fence that hard? Maybe he just lacks genitalia.

When you see Obama moving his lips you can be sure of one thing: He is selling bluffs to his self hating Jewish supporters of the Democratic party that lost any roots to Israel and keep stabbing Israel in the back. Evidently, the Big Iranian Brother Obama continue to bow to Ayatollah Khamenei and continue to defend his nuke plants from potential Israeli attack while calling his secret letters to Ayatollah Khamenei “diplomacy’. Since Obama took control of the White House and claiming he was Christian, Obama never stopped apologizing to the Iranian regime and single out Israel as the bad guys in the Middle east that refuse to surrender to the Hamas terrorists that are proxy of Ayatollah Khamenei. Israel will not trust Obama and will not tell Obama when it will attack the Iranian regime and his nuke plants knowing well that Obama will not keep secret from his best’ buddy’ Ayatollah Khamenei who taught Obama to use the Divide and Rule trick in America.

A read a bunch of infantile anti Obama rhetoric but not a single policy idea. What, exactly, would you geniuses do about Iran if you were the Prez? Would you strike first? Nuke 'em? Try to slow them down covertly (stuxnet)? Do you think he ought to know in advance if Israel strikes? Should he give sanctions time to work and continue to squeeze the already unpopular president of Iran? Back them into a corner and force them into a first strike? Do nothing and let the region sort it out? What would you do and why?

Well, there's ONE vote for another dumb Middle Eastern war, one which might embroil us in more terrorism or even conflict with Russia and China.

Jesus. Unbelievable.

Thanks. A clear and concise answer.
We could do all of that in an afternoon.
I can't say that I entirely disagree. I wouldn't cry over their misfortune.
I'm glad I'm not the guy in charge. He has to consider all of the ramifications of such an action. What would be our ultimate goal and how do we measure success? How could you keep such an attack from escalating to a ground war involving many actors?
Can we really afford to fight another full scale war? We haven't paid for the other two yet. Can our forces handle it? A lot of brave men and women have been called up repeatedly for 10 years now. They're bound to feel the strain. I mean them no disrespect in that, but my son in law is a soldier and I'd like to see him and his comrades home safe, once and for all.
Sometimes the thing that feels right brings a higher price than it's worth.

Just thinking.

I think the Iranians dont give a rats ass what Obama says or does. China & Russia supports Iran. And those iranians really dont care if they live or die. as long as they take Israel with them. Obama needs to tell Isreal the UN and the whole world we aint gonna help Isreal. That would be the best way to prevent a war.

You said it more clearly than I did.
We do not need another dumb war.
The war on terror has created more terrorists than it's killed.
If we unilaterally bombed Iraq we'd be on the wrong side of international law and who knows who Iran has mutual defense treaties with...? Probably their biggest oil customers China and Russia.
it's a tough problem, but attacking another country is probably not a viable solution.

IT JUST TAKES A SOBER ANALYSIS OF IRAN'S MILITARY CAPABILITIES FOR PEOPLE ARMED WITH THE FACTS AS THE CAPTURED DRONE WAS NOT FLYING OVER IRAN BUT AFGHANISTAN AND THE ELECTRONIC CAPABILITIES OF IRAN THEN WERE CLEARLY DEMONSTRATED, TO HIJACK THE DRONE AND LAND IT IN IRAN WITH NO OR SLIGHT DAMAGE WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE DRONE'S CONTROLLERS IS SHOWING A LEVEL OF ELECTRONIC WARFARE AT A VERY HIGH LEVEL, AND THE PENTAGON IN THE U.S. TOOK NOTICE.

WHICH MEANS: IRAN'S AIR DEFENSES ARE MORE THAN CAPABLE OF SHOOTING DOWN ALL OR MOST OF THE MISSILES AND AIRCRAFT THAT IT MAY FIND IN IT'S AIRSPACE IN AN ATTACK.

I'm sorry if you think any criticism of our Dear Leader is "infantile," but in fact yes, I'd do nothing and in fact the the hell out of the Middle East altogether. I'd also drop all military aid to Israel and tell them they're on their own from now on, as well.

Only idiots would advocate continued pressure and threats against a nation as a way to resolve a situation peacefully. I'm concerned that Obama's thrown in with those same idiots. You?

If only Tibet had had an effective defense when Chinese invaders attacked back in 1950, huh? Then they'd be a free country today instead of a brutalized Communist colony.

Yes, I'm afraid that Obama is listening to the hawks and the advisors who think being bellicose makes him more appealing to some Americans. Bad policy and bad politics, in my opinion.
I do not, even remotely believe that criticism of the president is automatically infantile. I have many criticisms of his policies, but I don't call him "Dear Leader, Barry, Obumbles" or any of the like. He's the president and deserves respect if not positive regard. Even if you don't like the man, you respect the office. Unthinking, knee jerk criticism and name calling are infantile whether it's Obama or Bush.
Legitimate policy disagreements and concerns are the responsibility of an involved electorate. That does not describe most of what passes for discourse on the subject of the Prez these days.
