Obama's Death panels are here baby!

The Ny Times tried to spin it by claiming cutting treatment and test is "Bold" but how Bold are you going to feel when you can't get the test or drug needed because Obamacare Panels have deemed you expendable and your test unnecessary due to cost concerns, not health concerns?

Welcome to the nightmare that is Obama...

From the NY Slimes:

...Many specialists and patient advocates expressed caution, warning that the (Obama admin panel) directives could be misinterpreted and applied too broadly at the expense of patients.

“These all sound reasonable, but don’t forget that every person you’re looking after is unique,” said Dr. Eric Topol, chief academic officer of Scripps Health, a health system based in San Diego, adding that he worried that the group’s advice would make tailoring care to individual patients harder.“This kind of one-size-fits-all approach can be a real detriment to good care.”

Cancer patients also expressed concern that discouraging the use of experimental treatments could diminish their chances at finding the right drug to quash their disease.

“I was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer right out the gate, and I did very well — I was what they call a ‘super responder,’ and now I have no evidence of disease,” said Kristy Larch, a 44-year-old mother of two from Seattle, who was treated with Avastin, a drug that the F.D.A. no longer approves for breast cancer treatment.“Doctors can’t practice good medicine if we tie their hands.”

More Obamacare Death Panels info:

NEW YORK (Reuters)- In a move that threatens to further inflame concerns about the rationing of medical care, the nation's leading association of cancer physicians issued a list on Wednesday of five common tests and treatments that doctors should stop offering to cancer patients.

Although the task force (Obamacare Req) emphasized that its recommendations were driven by medical considerations, the report makes clear that expense was a major factor.(It's called RATIONING.)

Whether the ASCO recommendations to withhold some tests and treatments will be seen as rationing "depends on how they are used. Will they inhibit the ability of doctors and patients to make the best decision in each case?"

Following the science, however, can lead to conclusions that do not sit well with all patients. Shari Baker, who was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer eight years ago and has been in remission since 2007, has already felt the brunt of one of the recommendations: that patients who have been successfully treated for breast cancer and have no symptoms of cancer not undergo CT, PET, other imaging, or bone scans to check for a recurrence or spread of the disease, known as metastasis.

"As a survivor of bone metastasis -- the breast cancer had spread to my spine -- after my doctor told me I was clear those PET scans were my peace of mind," said Baker, a jewelry designer in Scottsdale, Ariz. "By the time you have symptoms it's too late."

Her insurer, guided by the same kind of studies that served as the basis for the (Obamacare req) ASCO list, would not cover the scan, citing that it provides no benefit.(Don't you just love when Obama Teamed up with Insurers to create Obamacare!)

Now you have Obama and Insurers telling you NO, you cannot have the treatment, while Obama has his doctor with him 24/7!

(Obamacare Req) ASCO recommends against routine use of four other procedures:

1) Chemotherapy for patients with advanced cancers who are unlikely to benefit;

2) Advanced imaging technologies such as CT and PET or bone scans to determine the precise stage of both early breast cancer

3) Advanced imaging technologies such as CT and PET or bone scans to determine the precise stage of early prostate cancers at low risk for metastasis;

4) Drugs to stimulate white blood cell production in patients receiving chemotherapy if they have a risk of febrile neutropenia, an often-fatal condition marked by fever and abnormally low numbers of certain white blood cells.

WITHHOLDING CHEMOTHERAPY

One recommendation likely to stir controversy, and even revive charges of "death panels," is to not use chemotherapy and other treatments in patients with advanced solid-tumor cancers such as colorectal or lung who are in poor health and did not benefit from previous chemo.

Such treatment is widespread. At one large health maintenance organization, for instance, 49 percent of patients with a common form of lung cancer but with poor "performance status" (they were largely confined to a bed or chair and capable of only limited self-care) received chemo. Research shows, however, that it is - unlikely - to extend their life or improve its quality.

HOW would you like your doctor, your only hope, to say... Nah, I'm not going to bother giving you any hope or treatment because the chance of this working or extending your miserable life is less than 50/50.

WELCOME TO THE OBAMACARE NIGHTMARE!

The challenge for physicians as well as insurers will be balancing the needs of the vast majority of patients against the rare cases. Obamacare Studies have shown that when very ill lung-cancer patients were given a common chemotherapy, the average survival was half that of stronger patients, but nevertheless, 3 to 4 months.

To Obama, You are just a number. To Obama, his doctors number is not needed because he's mandated to be at Obama's side 24/7.

Hysterical nonsense, nothing but fearmongering and 'coulda, woulda, shoulda.' Commercial health insurahce companies sentence people to death every day by refusing to pay claims or grant coverage, and you're fine with that....but let there be a chance that government might calculate the need for coverage under some circumstances sometime in the future, and screams of "death panels! Death panels!" ring through the air.

Not when Romney or the Heritage Foundation pushed this plan, of course - only when Obama did. Thus you're all hypocrites as well.

The only thing "offensive" about Mittens is his utter determination not to offend the radical, far right base of his party - at least until after he gets his paws on the nomination.

McCain, for all his weaknesses, is twice the man that rich flopper Mittens is. Romney's a disgrace to wimps and weasels everywhere!

In fact, YOU appear to be lying. The doctor in question is identified as

"Dr. Lowell Schnipper, a cancer physician at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center who led the task force assembled by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The group of more than 200 oncologists released the list from a report in its Journal of Clinical Oncology."

So obviously he's not "Obama's mouthpiece." As to your other absurd lie, that this involves "rationing,"

"the nation's leading association of cancer physicians issued a list on Wednesday of five common tests and treatments that doctors should stop offering to cancer patients.

The list emerged from a two-year effort, similar to a project other medical specialties are undertaking, to identify procedures that do not help patients live longer or better or that may even be harmful, yet are routinely prescribed."

So we actually find that leading cancer physicians find that certain tests are not only unnecessary (IOW, they run up medical bills for no good reason) they may actually be HARMFUL.

So that's your assertion, that you want to increase the cost of medical care AND endanger women's health, and that this would be "good medicine," as opposed to "death panels" or "rationing?"

You appear to be completely nuts, or dishonest, or both.

WHY LIE?

These Panels are REQUIRED by Obamacare to find Cost Cutting Measures... and they did...BY RATIONING CARE to Patients!

- Ouch!-

The deal Obama and Democrats CUT with Big Insurance was to reduce Cost by Reducing Services. Duh. The deviousness of this is that now the government is right behind Big Insurance now with the heavy hand...

Bow down to your master obama.

Claiming it would be alright if Romeny did this is pretty stupid too. Are you a professor in preschool or kindergarten?

Wrong as usual.

When discussing Obama's health care plan, it is wise to recall the President's philosophy as explained to Joe Wurzelbacher on the campaign trail in 2008: "When you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

Obama here clearly revealed his belief that "wealth" is not private property earned and owned by individuals, but the government's ¬ the collective's ¬ to distribute as they deem fit and fair.

If this is not socialism, then what is?

Is Obamacare NOT PAID For by the little people my friend?- OUCH!-

It's up to nearly $2 TRILLION now by the new CBO report.

I see you're a pretty good liar and water carrier so I'll be hammering you on a regular basis for sure. See ya around...

WRONG.

The Medicare Payment Advisory Commission, established under Obamacare to slice $500 billion from Medicare, has set into motion a process to get other Medicare's Carrier/Contractor Advisory Committees (CAC) to start eliminating tests and procedures.

The Commission is set to decide which treatments are most cost-effective and disallow the ones that it finds are not.

That’s “cost-effective”, not just “effective.”

So if an expensive treatment cures a fatal disease, the Panel will decide how many “quality years” a patient has left in deciding if it is “cost-effective” to let her have the medication.

The Panel, in other words, rations care and plays God.

In fact, you don't appear to be too intelligent. This Obama Mouthpiece is saying he's going to reduce treatments and testing because NOT ENOUGH people are saved or life prolonged to make the endeavor "cost effective."

I want a Doctor that's going to be on MY SIDE and try to save my life or prolong it, NOT take Obama's side and try to cut me out of potentially life saving Treatments or Tests because Obamacare is a Trillion Dollar$ over budget.

Sorry but if you can't comprehend those simple facts, you aren't going to be able to see much else. You make a good parrot though. Professor wanna cracker?
