The fat governor needs to sign it. If not I think they can over-ride his veto.

People have been saying that for hundreds of years. Gay marriage is not going to cause the end of the world. Fortunately, it will be a new beginning for homosexuals.

Fortunately, you don't have to participate in it if you don't want to.

That's not the point. It's another way of saying our children don't need a married mother and a father in the home, which is a sickening lie.

Heterosexual marriage doesn't guarantee that either.

Seriously, what does she think will happen? Thousands of straights will decide, "Oh, I'm going to marry same sex now, because it's trendy?"

A heterosexual marriage is far more likely to guarantee that a child with have a mother and a father in the home. But even that is no guarantee of happiness for the child, especially if one or both parents are abusive, or if they get divorced. What is most important is that a child is raised in a loving, supportive environment, and homosexuals are perfectly capable of providing that.

By your way of thinking, if a widow or widower were raising a child alone, the child will have developmental problems, for lack of the other parent.

To tell you the truth, gay is the new "black", but that's beside the point.

That's not what this is about at all, and you are just throwing up a smokescreen to try and move away from the real topic.

Exactly! No one's going to change their sexual orientation because of the legalization of gay marriage.

Here, why don't we take the experts' word on it:

http://pedsinreview.aappublications.org/conte...
snip: "There are no data to suggest that children who have gay or lesbian parents are different in any aspects of psychological, social, and sexual development from children in heterosexual families."

http://www.apa.org/about/governance/council/p...
snip: "research has shown that the adjustment, development, and psychological well-being of children is unrelated to parental sexual orientation and that the children of lesbian and gay parents are as likely as those of heterosexual parents to flourish (Patterson, 2004; Perrin, 2002; Stacey & Biblarz, 2001);"

Looks to me like your fears are completely unfounded.

Nobody is 'guaranteed' to be happy that's true, but to deprive them of the optimum possiblity of both parents who created them to be involved in thier lives on a daily basis inside the home.

Don't give me that abusive crap, gay parents can have all the same situations above, PLUS the initial denial of the mother and father to begin with. You will NEVER convince me that a child doesn't fare better with a mother AND father in the home.
