They can't afford to keep popping out babies all the time, like the church wants. BC is an economic fact of life, regardless of religion.

True.
What's more, almost 90% of Catholics world-wide practice some form of birth control.

That is the question.
Oh, I know, criminals, because they would turn to violence and even more crime as soon as they are no longer supported by those of faith with morals and responsibilities.

I used to work with Mexican farm workers. They all practiced birth control. Most limited their families to two children.

Even if we believed all this--much of which is over-exaggerated--it doesn't make them savages. They have a different culture. I can point to a helluva lot of similar actions by people you probably don't consider savages--is there any difference between what you describe and priests raping kids?--but the big problem is that people like your pope are keeping them from learning how to protect themselves and to understand the science of the problem. The acts you describe can and do happen, but they are confined mostly to the rural areas, where neither christians nor their own government has much to do with them.

They lie their superstitions, just like catholics, baptists, jews, muslims, etc. Should I characterize all religionists as savages?

Hey moron, you ever been to any of the Northern African Nations? How about any African nation? I have and they are savages. A very popular belief is that if an aids infected man, rapes a child, the "evil" or sickness will be transferred from him into the child. They also believe that it is just to rape your emeries’ women and children because it puts your spirit into them so they will turn on the men and destroy them. They also believe that to become a man, a boy must be inseminated either orally or be sodomized by men again and again so the sperm will build up in the boy’s body, making him a man. They are savages, it is not racist, just the truth and the truth is something you and your side seem to be in short supply of. Numerous agencies have distributed tens of thousands of condoms for no benefit what so ever. They women would rather use them to carry water or store items in them......savages.

Sorry, but extreme unction guarantees that you can live the most vile life imaginable but, if you have remorse in the last ten minutes, you go to heaven, although you might have to sit through a little detention in purgatory.

Even confession is supposed to cleanse the soul if the INTENTION of stopping the sin is valid, regardless of future occurrences.
Melman68 wrote:

You libtards are truly simplistic little people. I did not say that you cannot be forgiven. That is just you, trying to pervert the post and spin it for your benefit. It is a Catholic urban legend, you cannot ask for forgiveness on your death bed unless you have remorse in your heart or as you are dying because you have not shown any remorse or have in any why tried to change the behavior (sin), you have committed or lived. Even when you ask for and are granted forgiveness for a sin, you are supposed to STOP committing the sin. If you think you can just ask for forgiveness, each time you commit adultery, but in your mind and actions you have no intent of stopping your adulterous affair, you are mocking Christ since you have no remorse and will not be forgiven. Just like when a parent beats their child but each time afterward they cry and beg their child for forgiveness, promising it will never happen again yet it always does, the child learns the promise is false.

Where does the bible say obama is making this a gay america?

Wow--we insult your god if we insult you? Do you need a wheelbarrow to carry around that much egotism?

This is a secular nation; your god doesn't even officially exist here. And like a lot of guys named jesus, he'd be considered an illegal alien if he were here.
Jorge hetnandez wrote:
<quoted text> well what do you expect if there was no God in this country? All hell would break loose! And that's exactly what Obama is doing by making this country into a gay America!! You can call me all the names you can think of, but its in the Bible. When you insult me you insult God.

The rest is from 2 timothy. If you can't even get your quotes right, why should we put any credibility to your biblical pronouncements?

Why is it that CHRISTians can't ever back up their arguments with quotes from christ?

Because we all believe something different.

Why don't all heterosexuals believe as you do?
Why don't all Latinos believe as you do?
Why don't all non-native-english speakers believe as you do?
Why don't all men believe as you do?
Why don't all Christians believe as you do?

Even asking the question as you did, just proves how clueless you are about what it means to be an American.

75% of the Bible is based upon Hebrew Scripture. The Hebrew Scripture is a sacred text for people of the Jewish faith. They have something called the Midrash tradition which all points of view are brought into question and argued. The Gospel of Matthew is written in that tradition. Therefore, the Bible is indeed written to provoke arguments.
