The "deal" was a joke on all sides, frankly. No one was happy, and nothing really got done but to kick the can down the road a month or two, where it will be even MORE difficult to resolve next time.
It's good to see more fractures in the evil structure of modern Republicanism, of course, but Obama didn't come out smelling like roses either. And NO one really seems to want to recognize the problems, much less solve them.
Our government sucks. Not that this is news.
