Poor Americans? How much do you want to bet that they were Americans at all who did this? It could have been an unlawful resident who did it, not a born nor naturalized American. Then again, it could have been a darker gang member, as there are a lot of minority gangs out that way. Or it could have been like the 2 White girls who robbed and killed a cab driver.

My point is, we don't know the demographics, immigration status, race, gang affiliation, nor anything else here. Until the killers are apprehended, we won't know.

Yes, when you see someone committing such a crime, you pull out your gun, take off the safety, carefully aim it at the attacker, preferably in one of the kill zones, and fire. That is the type of gun control that is needed. Choosing the correct target and hitting it without hitting anyone else.

Criminals will always get guns no matter how tightly they are banned. Put the death penalty on gun sales and gun dealers will be multi-millionaires. So put them in the hands of trained civilians who respect them, have no mental nor criminal record, and can hit their target and only their target.

Over in China, they will just chop you up, alive. I'd rather just be shot in the head than bludgeoned to death, though I wish for neither. Taking guns away doesn't take away insanity, criminality, nor criminal instincts. It just makes them choose other weapons - knives, farm tools, poison, water, flammables, chemicals, martial arts, tall buildings, etc.

Police should handle guns and fight crime, right-wing gun nuts should sit down and shut up. The more right-wing nuts we have running around with guns, the more danger the country is in.

I loved "put the death penalty on gun sales and gun dealers will be multi-millionaires," though. That was an hilarious piece of insane BS! LOL

We're not in China, idiot. Although I agree, I'd rather you were shot in the head, too. See? I'm a merciful guy...LOL

ALL law-abiding people should handle guns to fight crime. If you think that the police will protect you, actually, they are some of the armed thugs you need guns to defend yourself from. Plus in several Supreme Court rulings, the court has said that nobody is entitled to police protection. You cannot sue the police for not getting there on time or not defending you.

If you think only the cops should defend you, then you probably think we need professional butt-wipers too and that owning toilet paper to wipe your own butt should be illegal.

Actually, in states where gun ownership is high, crime is low, at least among locals. Tourists to those areas are at a higher risk since they don't know the gun laws and likely won't bring any with them (and probably travel through strict gun control states). So they are more likely to be unarmed and more likely to be chosen as targets. Maybe we should mandate that every law abiding citizen owns and carries.

Actually, what I said is true. You see what good banning drugs has done. People are still getting as high as ever, but at a greater cost of life than if they were straight out legal and treated as an educational and medical problem. Really, we should legalize everything, but criminalize the associated stupidity - just like with alcohol. If you want to get so drunk you cannot see or walk, that is your right. However, if you are visibly impaired and start to get into the driver's seat of a car, you should be jailed. Same with drugs. If you want to get baked/high/stoned, that should be your right, but not if it puts others at risk. No driving while high, not pushing/carrying babies while high. No giving your drug of choice to pets, children, the unwitting, nor the unwilling. As for selling it, that should be legal, with quality control and accurate labeling laws enforced, and making adulteration illegal. If you turn out a batch that particularly harms/kills and sell it or give it to others, you go to prison as a poisoner or killer.

I support responsible gun ownership. However, I also support sanity checks, criminal records checks, training, and so on. If everyone was assumed to be armed, the world would be a much gentler place.
