Yeah? How you gonna pay for this revival of gunboat diplomacy? Borrow money from us? I think your citizens would rather see that spent on reducing unemployment

Building all those new ships would create PLENTY of jobs. After all, its not like we could off shore this job to China!

Since the cost of those new ships, and the costs of opperating them, would have to be borowed from us, as we are the only ones with money, we would have a provision that the ships would be built in our shipyards. Sooner or later, you're going to realise that without a functioning economy, that actually makes a profit, you ain't got squat,'cept of course hot air

Oh, we could easily pay for them by simply putting a tariff on Chinese imports, raising the prices up to the point to where the items would cost if they were not made with slave labor. And then we could build them using workers getting paid a living wage, with the added benefit of having them actually not be POSs...

You could, but it would be in violation of WTO, and you would lose all your exports and the jobs they create, and cause inflation to shoot thru the roof. We would simply move our factories to Africa and continue selling them to you. Remember, the title of this article is "Think through"

The WTO is in violation of national sovereignty, so that is not a big point with me...

Your right, I thought this through. I am going to take the Chinese, "its my rice bowl" approach. Bring back all the outsourced "rice bowl" jobs back to America. Reduce the corporate income tax rate to 10% and bring back all those overseas "rice bowl" accounts. Cut government jobs in the U.S. by 50%, take their "rice bowls" away and make them get real jobs. The other 50% will see a 50% reduction in salaries being put into their "rice bowls". Make all U.S. banks give away free "rice bowls" with every new account. Make anyone that works on Wall Street U.S.A, and in the Federal Reserve into a "rice bowl". Make all U.S. college football head coaches take a cut in salary by giving them $500 for every game they win, and lose $400 for for every game they lose, completely busting their "rice bowls" to pieces. And finally, fire all U.S. politicians and make them work in a rice paddy to earn a "rice bowl"-this approach should divert U.S attention from any "island theft" going on out there.

China breaks the WTO every day.

Also, if you move all your factories to Africa that means a few hundred million unemployed Chinese who can't feed themselves.

You'll have to start massacring your own people again.
