Ron Paul: I wouldn't have killed bin Laden

Rep. Ron Paul , who is poised to launch his presidential campaign tomorrow, said this week he would not have authorized the mission that resulted in the death of Osama bin Laden, arguing that killing bin Laden was unnecessary and that he has "respect for the rule of law." In a radio interview with WHO Newsradio 1040, Paul told radio host Simon ... Full Story

Seal Team 6 lied?
Lied ?
Let us count the ways

1) Gulf f Tonkin ? Who defended that lie, who broke the story ?
2) Iran / Contra / Crack epidemic ? Who lied, who defended it ? Who broke the story ?
3) USS Liberty ? Who lied ? Who broke the story ?

Did they lie ? Who knows
IS there any historic evidence that they can and will ?

With all due respect i meant well in my statement. My question really is why have you spent all of this time debating an issue thats not all that important. It seems about the only thing you stand firm on is that you dont believe Ron Paul is Strong enough to be a good leader which should be a simple opinion
I haven't. I started out this thread really disliking Ron Paul. After reading some of the posts here I decided to learn more about him out of curiosity. The pages of debate here have ranged from the Constituition to national security to voting records, etc. We have covered a variety of issues related to Ron Paul, this is the one that I am still standing firm on, yes, but I also have a right to change my mind on other issues as I learn more about them. I would encourage all voters to do the same. Of all the GOP contenders, I like him the best so far, but still find him weak in some areas. It is my opinion that no one candidate will match every ideology that you have, unless you are VERY far right or VERY far left and find candidates who is also very far to the left or right. As an Independent, that just doesn't happen. Why so interested in what I am interested in? Out of all the people here, you choose to address me. Am I really that captivating?(I highly doubt it ):)

I'm not very interested just a question that popped to mind. I agree with a lot of the things you have said. It's my understanding that Ron Paul is running as a republican because if he were to run as an independent he wouldnt have a chance of being elected so he leans to the side that goes along with his logic the most. you see when was the last time anyone who was not a democrat or republican elected as president?

In many ways I agree. Wars around the world are creating an AMerican empire. Wouldn't we be better served to shore up our country by building it up at home? How does occupying countries around the world accomplish keeping us safe at home? By making so many people hate us, doesn't that also create more of a national security problem?
We are not an empire!! Besides people are going to hate us no matter what. That is just the way some people are. No matter what we do! When a country needs help, who do the call on first? It does not matter if they are a friend or foe. We need to look out for our best interest because no one else will!

The amount of people who believe in the government concocted fairytale that Muslims hijacked 4 planes and hit 75% of their targets against the world's lone super power and billion dollar defense industry is amazing.

With no proof we have blamed Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan for 911. We will never stop the wars as long as fools continue to believe the Government propaganda.

We are fighting Israel's wars.

The government has stripped us of many of our constitutional and god given rights. This was the intention of 911. It was already planned to attack the nations we have and there are more to come and all they need is to invent a boogie man, tell the sheep they are under attack, and the sheep will not only follow, they will subject themselves to sexual assault at the airport, remove their shoes, walk through extremely dangerous scanners, give up all their rights, and these same sheep would agree to cavity searches. All this in the name of national security, the new economy, only you aren't part of it unless you agree to snitch on your fellow American. What a pathetic country America has become.

Last, if Osama, the supposed king of terrorist, were truly what the government said he was; why not interrogate him to find out what he knows. Simple, Osama knew too much dating back to his days of being a CIA asset. However, as 911 was an inside job points out, Osama died due to kidney failure in December of 2001
