Afghan War Now Country's Longest

By THOMAS NAGORSKI, ABC News Managing Editor, International

The Afghan war was enormously popular when it began on a fall Sunday eight and a half years ago. Less than a month had passed since the September 11 attacks, and President Bush could draw on deep wells of support when he ordered air strikes against Kabul, Jalalabad and the Taliban stronghold at Kandahar.

Afghan War Surpasses Vietnam War in Duration

In many ways, Vietnam and Afghanistan defy comparison. One was the result of a slow, creeping policy of containing communism in Southeast Asia; the other a visceral, swift response to an attack on U.S. soil.

One became a terribly divisive home-front battle, provoking passions almost as powerful as those seen a century before, during the war between the states; the other has resisted close public attention – and even today sparks far less passion, one way or the other.

More than 50,000 Americans lost their lives in Vietnam; certainly no one expects the toll in Afghanistan to reach anything like that number.

Latter Day Saints Article 5:“We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.”
That means that born-again believers, Catholics, Jews and any other religion does not have “the fullness of the gospel” and therefore does not preach the true gospel.
Good luck selling them joe smith.

The American people have never felt safer than we do now under the strong and brilliant leadership of our Osama-killing President... and that is because there hasn’t been a single terrorist attack on Obama’s watch like the one that happened when George W Bush was in office.

Osama is dead, and GM is alive; God bless President Obama and the United States of America.

This is nothing more than a fear tactic and a distraction.

The transportation is supposed to be passed soon and the clause allowing the IRS to revoke your passport travel if they claim (without proof I might add) that you owe them back taxes.

Also, CISPA is being pushed through.

While everyone is scared a boogey man might get them. Your own government will push through laws that take even more freedom from you.

... and in a related story, President Øbama is reported to have single-handedly murdered 17 unarmed civilians in their sleep in Afghanistan. According to some off-the-deep-end 'Progressives, President Øbama is responsible for and single-handedly killed Øsama bin Laden. Applying their same twisted logic to the murders of 17 innocent Afghani women and children, President Øbama must have single-handedly carried out that heinous atrocity as well.

US House passes CISPA

Published on Apr 27, 2012 by RTAmerica

On Thursday evening, the US House of Representatives approved the controversial Cyber Intelligence Sharing Protection Act, or CISPA. The US Senate will soon discuss cybersecurity legislation on their own part, but in the meantime concerns are still rampant over how the bill could allow private companies to hand over personal user information to the federal government. Declan McCullagh, correspondent for CNet News, joins us with new developments on CISPA.

Santorum: "It truly frightens me to think what’ll happen if Mitt Romney is the nominee."
"My friend, Republicans and conservatives will be crippled by a nominee who presents zero contrast with Barack Obama on the major issues of this election," the letter says, repeating an attack on Romney that Santorum made constantly on the campaign trail. "Any attempt by Mitt Romney to attack President Obama's positions on healthcare, energy policy, social issues, or the economy will be easily neutralized."
