Obama's not wanting to "spike the football" turned out to be another one of his lies. The WH controlled every aspect of the release of the UBL event and screwed it up royally. It took a week for them to straighten out the story.

But that's not the worst of it. King Obama then begins "spiking the football" on the talk show circuit after showing up within hours at Ground Zero for photographs and sends Biden off to place wreaths for more photo ops. All this, two weeks after beginning his re-election campaign. Spiking the football is what a King does after he orders no one else to do it.

SEALs lost an expensive chopper catching Bin Laden. Don't they deserve that money?

The point is, Obama succeeded. Not like Bush "spiking the football" with his Mission Accomplished speech after flying onto the USS Abraham Lincoln. A feat that could have been easily accomplished with Marine one instead of the S-3 Viking, but Bush wanted the theatrics.
Obama calmly explaining what had happened, a quick speech to a firehouse isn't quite in the same ballpark.
Oh, you're a partisan hack and anything Obama does cannot be viewed as a victory for America, because if it is, then you have to view it as a victory for Obama.

His focus is to redirect, if it can't be a new war, local will do. Lets see the southern border.
I wonder how the Obama Civil War in Libya is going.

Problem is he directs our army, in our name. The gates of Rome await.

Again today, as everyday since the raid, the WH is leaking out more details, more speculation... they are milking this daily and don't be surprised if they are still milking it in September. Too bad the folks who actually performed the raid couldn't milk it like to boob who keeps spiking the football for votes.

Political hacks like you are not above rationalizing away gross embellishment and Madison Ave. ploys by your hero. Enjoy the cramped position you're in. Myself, I wouldn't stoop that low.

At least he didn't spike the football before the mission was actually accomplished. Bush spiked the football in year one of a war that is still basically going on.

Not really. You say he spiked the ball, I claim he didn't. Obama did what he did in a calm manner without the theatrics that Bush displayed when spiking the ball for 1 year into an 8 year war. Obama had a press conference from the White House. He had a small speech for those most effected by 9/11 at the firehouse in NY that lost the most firefighters. I didn't see any giant banner, or any unnecessary flight onto an aircraft carrier. THAT is spiking the ball. What Obama has done is acknowledging what has been done is a good thing for all Americans without the spiking of the ball with phony theatrics.
