Their execs could've done it giving up just one year of salary.

They were flown out due to fear of retaliation. I guess you think the whole state of New York should be held responsible for Tim McViegh?

Retaliation? They were flown out BEFORE the attacks took place. Do I really have to take you by the hand?

.....If Romney's dad does turn over in his grave, that would explain why Romney is so great at flip flopping.
If only George Romney would have a little patience. If he waits a day or two, Mitt will be FOR the auto bailout.

George W. Mason was the architect of the merger to reap benefits from the strengths of the two firms to battle the much larger "Big Three" automakers (General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler). Within a year George W. Romney took over, reorganized the company and focused the future of AMC on a new small car line.[3] By the end of 1957 the original Nash and Hudson brands were completely phased out. The company struggled at first, but sales of the Rambler took off. Its cars were frequent winners in Mobil Economy Runs[4] and Ramblers became America's third most popular car during the early 1960s

The Saudi Royal family are related to OBL or vice versa. He was an outcast, he left after the Saudi's allowed American bases to be used in desert storm. He was totally against it. The members of the Saudi Royal family left two days after the attacks as rumors of retaliation against them were floating around.

It's utterly laughable to hear Bill Clinton pretend to be outraged when he himself has no moral values. George Romney was a very good man and I'm sure would be Immensely proud of what Mitt's doing.

Yep Bubba sure can communicate alright. Bubba communicates with his crank to Monica and guys like you. Reagan is dead and makes more sense then Billy or Billary.

You're a stubborn sort and your sources are worthless. I have personal knowledge that the Saudi dignitaries were hastily flown out of here just prior to the 9/11 attack. It was not a matter of public knowledge at the time. Since I'm not in a position to offer you proof of this, you have the option of remaining ignorant on the matter.

"OH my, Wild Willy Billy is still around."

How does Bill Clinton know that Obama's bailing out GM will get him to continue his presidency for another term, or might that be a vulnerability instead? The way Obama's giving out bailouts is another Bush-George Obama , of Bush-cloned economic policy .

In essence, using public money for government to do bailouts is the subject in question.

Romney never meant to say any industries seeking help, to be resolved, had everything to do or not to do with the government. He might mean that there were other resourceful ways , alternatives, or options to work it out for GM.

Most importantly, the domain of the business of bailouts should be the topic of focus for a review and evaluation, if any procedural guidelines, or policy would be needed.
The government is not in the business of taking public money in the automatic bailing out of every bankrupt business, nor it would not, as all depending.

Businesses should be getting the message of full responsiblity in the first place, in order to stay in the competitive business, which is essentially more important.

It will not be the Michigan election in the General Election, by always talking and using GM criteria, which is boring.
And it is controversial as a trivial, while Clinton has taken this matter as much as an un-needed subject at this time, very much inappropriate and unjustified as a matter of fact.

After Clinton played sex with a low level Govt Empl repeatly in the Oval Office with his Wife and Child directly upstairs I doubt that principled americans give a crap about what he thinks of any American's family.
Monica Lewinsky's grand parents are the ones who are "turning over in their graves" along with generations of proud American Democrats.

Clinton did this economy more good then most. He didny get us out of debt, but he did get us closer than anyother president. Gas prices were down, everyone hates on him for HUMANMISTAKES.. but almost every other president had the same problem. Clinton just got caught, because he is more of a realistic person. He understood the people, He cared, and he was a very down to earth person. I bet if u put him back in office some economic stress will ease up. just sayin

I agree. My post was relating the the Thread subject, not Clintons' effectiveness as President. I attended his first Inaguration and LOVED him as a President....he proved to be an astonishingly inconsiderate husband and father and has no right to comment on other peoples Families.Back in the day, DEMOCRATS hated powerful men taking advantage of those in their employ.....until Clinton's vile behavior forced the Party had to abandon it's long held values. just sayin'

Time to tell the big 3 next time no bailout (Ford didnt take one). The problem with them and banks is that once they know they will be bailed out they do the same stupid things sooner or later that got them into trouble in the first place.
