I agree with your point of view, but I doubt very much it'll shut up "those guys". It'll take a whole lot more of dead American civilians before "those guys" begin to quite down, even a little.

I still don't understand what the heck is NATO still doing there. Taliban will take over sooner or later.

I'm guessing they're getting ready to invade Iran to steal the oil fields and destroy Iran's infrastructure just like they did in Irak, and they hope to use Afghanistan as a spring-board for the invasion BEFORE the Taliban take over Afghanistan and crush NATO.
