It seems to me that the Afghanis would be better justified blowing themselves up at an American soldier's wedding than at an Afghan one.

Seeing the bomber is going to heaven wouldn't you think that they would like to take their family members and friends instead of total strangers ?

You and I would, yes, but suicide bombers have shown a keen devotion to "taking out their bitter foe".

If you knew you were going to heaven wouldn't you want to take those closest to you instead of complete strangers .
Would you want to go to heaven with your bitter foe ?

Are we speaking metaphorically?

Personally, I have no such "bitter foe" and I'd wish for "those closest to me" to carry on living long and happy lives.

On the other hand if I did have "bitter foes" then I'd probably do a bunk and take "those closest to me" along. I'm sure I haven't the courage to blow myself up. If I felt that "those closest to me" were in imminent danger then I'd attack my foe head on and let fate take its course.

Maybe he's just gone through a bitter divorce and didn't want to see a friend make the same mistake...

Suicide bombers are told that they will be martyred to the cause of their struggle and will go to paradise upon their death so If they know this to be true then wouldn't you think that they would want to take with them their nearest and dearest to enjoy the fruits of Allah with for all eternity instead of all those people they just killed who would not be very happy .

The key word here is "THEY". Are we on the same page now?

Because you can't comprehend it doesn't make it a problem for those who can

It is you who doesn't understand - even with all the hints I gave you. Christ, it's your own words that's your problem and you don't even understand what you wrote!

Here's one more hint - READ WHAT YOU WROTE and answer this question: "Who will be promissed a place in heaven"? Got it yet? WHO?- WHO?- WHO?- WHO? Read your own words and figure it out.

Where do suicide bombers get their elaborate killing vests from?
The same people who believe as they do that they will spend all eternity bedding a virgin and eating lots of grapes.
Are we on the same page yet ?

Neville my boy, you have crossed the frontier, far beyond tedious, and are now pioneering un-chartered nothingness, worth exactly that - NOTHING.

And Allah said .....

I decree from this very moment, that any Moslem man or woman who straps an explosive device round the waist and blows himself (along with any number of non-believers) into a zillion particles of microscopic proportions, will be guaranteed a place in heaven .. and that all victims, of said Moslem martyr, will also be granted a devine place in heaven, thus to spend all eternity bedding a virgin and eating lots of grapes - just for the purpose of confounding Neville and his shoulder-perching galah.
