The people of Burma have been suffering for a long time under this junta... the junta and its military are nothing more than criminal thugs. Most of us here in the USA hope to help the people. However, I think that the junta just wants to let as many die from this disaster as possible... it's that much more killing that their military does not have to do. Perhaps, and we can only hope... that this disaster breaks the back of the junta and opens up the possibility for free elections in the country.. we can only hope. The world is watching this and is horrified.

If US really wants to help they should be less confrontational and more willing to compromise the get the aids in. I wonder why are the "US experts" so crucial. Why can they get ASEAN or Chinese "experts" who are more acceptable to the Junta?

The institutionalized racism practiced by the mad generals of Burma is worse than the combination of Apartheid in old South Africa and that Bumiputra or whatever BS in Malaysia.

The US has unsincere motives behind their offer to help Myanmar. They want to help with their two Aircraft Carriers standing by off the coast of Thailand with many fighter bomber planes on board. Everybody knows that the US Government hates the Ruler of Myanmar very much, and want to topple it and be replaced by Aung San Suukyi who is very much pro Western. Then the US will have a leverage toward China and can stab its belly. This is purely strategic intentions of the US Government and Pentagon. Do not blame Myanmar to be cautious with this offer for help.
