I have known Whitney for years and this guy is not talented at all and has no pro experience to be shaping our youths at the most prestigous tennis center in the U.S. He won't be there long enough for the glue to dry on his name plate for his office door.

I disagree with Top Stringer. I know Whitney for years and this guy is extremely talented and does have pro experience and the national tennis center is lucky to have him. Whitney will be there for a long time.

Whitney Kraft will do a bang-up job and I can tell you from being coached by him as a 10 yr. old kid that he will succeed in 'shaping our youths'. It is because of Whiteny that I played all the way through college and USTA men's open.

I totally disagree with top stringer's rude comment. Top Stringer has no idea what he is talking about. Whitney is an amazingly talented coach, and business man. He will and so far is doing phenominal job in the National Tennis Center.

top stringer is probably some guy who lost to whitney in a double bagel and has never gotten over it. Whitney is the epitome of the top club professional and is a great representative of the sport at any prestigious venue. He strives for excellence in every aspect of the sport in a very competitve industary, and does so in the most positive way. Some people were meant to be inspirational, and others are merely like "topstringer."
I have known Whitney as a comprehensive professional who has maintained a strong playing level over the years as well as being noted by the USPTA Florida division as one of the state's premier teaching professionals.
On a personal note, he has an open personality inviting genuine tennis interest among the masses. I have had the opportunity of competing against Whitney in prize money Florida events, and enjoy his true love of the game without gamesmanship, bad line calls or personality problems that can sometimes surface in competitive circumstances. He has a great character as well as his clear ablility to run a top venue. Everyone wins when a guy like Whitney gets a job like this - I am proud of the USTA for making such a fine decision.

I agree with everyone's comments, except for Top Stringer. Who do you think you are anyway? You are probally just jealous of how well Whitney is doing. Obviously. I know Whitney very well and he has coached me for a long time. He has helped introduce cardio tennis, one-on-one doubles, beach tennis and many other exciting advancements in the game. And to top it off, he now helps run the US OPEN, this man is amazing, and is incredible at the game, and "shaping youths."

Too many good coaches left NTC, and they couldn't find anyone, that's why they needed to get somebody quickly. All the coaches at NTC left because they didn't like the policy and the way they do it. Only junk coach goes from FL to NY..you know that.
