Venus Williams Joins Sister Serena in 4th Round at Wimbledon

One swing from completing her week's work, Venus Williams toed the baseline, dribbled the ball, gave it a toss and delivered yet another thunderclap serve at sun-kissed Wimbledon .

Serena Williams made it all the way to the semi-finals in the Dubai Tennis Championship and was finally beaten by her sister, Venus Williams who went on and won the finals.

I was hoping Serena would win but she was having problems with her serve. She said “I think my serve has gone somewhere on vacation and I need to go there and catch up with it.”

Serena also appeared to be bothered by a lingering knee injury that forced her to pull out of last week’s Open in France. I'm concerned about that.

I'm glad she is taken time off to give her knee a chance to heal before she plays again in Miami. I thought it was way to soon to be playing in the Dubai meet one week after she injured herself. After all, it's better to take time off to heal properly and come back strong then to play while injured and risk it going chronic.

Congratulations Venus for winning the Dubai, and for winning your 40th career singles title, and now you're about to win the Mexican Open in Acapulco. Good job Venus, but I still hope Serena beats you in Miami!
