Rafa: Put Out and Put Upon

There are 2 comments on the Tennis story from Jan 17, 2012, titled Rafa: Put Out and Put Upon. In it, Tennis reports that:

There is undoubtedly a real Rafael Nadal, lurking somewhere north of the sloe-eyed, wholesome, and humble young man whom women of a certain age would love to hug to their bosoms-but south of the disingenuous, scheming, muscular ball-punisher recently given to whining about the state of the ATP and his knees, or some other injury de jour.

Maybe Rafa was wrong to tell journalists(as they are the ones who mostly get anybody into trouble)but a schemer, he is not!Whatever he feels, pain or no pain, perhaps he is feeding them with wrong information and why not, there is a pre and post tournaments conferences, what on earth do you tell them, with Federer's command of English. its much easier for him to evade all these questioning but maybe Rafa must not divulge any goings on between the ATP and the players and must always keep, whatever it is thats bothering him, close to his chest and perhaps, Federer, being the Tennis council's President, must always avail of himself to the members and hold a regular meeting so that the problems can be resolved before it gets out of hand.If my memory serves me right, I remember Pete Sampras used to complain about their long season and he said that even the footballers have off season but nothings been done about it then, until Rafa took it up upon himself with Murray not solely for himself (as he said it might be too late to benefit him) but for the low ranking and younger players especially when they cannot play due to injury and their points get deducted.
So much has been written about the knees, maybe, he is really suffering from pain and the strapping is just a precaution as the hard court they are playing on at the moment can really jolt ones joints, etc.Nobody wants to play with a pain, and Nadal is not one to feign it.To those fans, be of Federer's or Djokovic, sicken me of perhasps nothing else to do but sit infront of their computer and throw 'abuses' at Nadal, don't get me wrong I'm a fan of Nadal but I like them all and hopefully, they will resolve whatever problems there is between them without any interference from anybody.
