There are 1 comment on the Tennis Articles story from May 4, 2012, titled Madrid Draw: Blue Courts? Who Cares! Nadal Continues Clay Assault As Federer, Djokovic Loom. In it, Tennis Articles reports that:

Enough about the blue colored clay courts. WHO CARES! It's a PR stunt! Tennis players have been playing for generations on different colored courts - some green, some red, some purple, some orange, some different shades, some checkerboard and yes, many of them blue! - without complaint, until now.

Different coloured courts, Yes, but we're talking about CLAY here and not hard courts! I agree with the players sentiments especially Nadal, red clay is tradition, not blue, why change?fot the better? I don't think so!Clay is RED, not Blue!!The players are the reasons, people come to see, on Red clay, not blue! Have you heard anything so ridiculous, ask a little child what is the colour of clay and they will answer red, not blue!Ah,I will perhaps should turn the tv off until Rome and Roland Garros, now, they're on red clay, unless they too, turned to blue so that leaves me with just Wimbledon on glorious green, which, who in their right mind will paint it blue? Heaven help us
if they do!!
