First off lets be clear, the woman who quit school will never complete anything. She is a looser and was just looking for a escape. Any version of Linux or Unix will run a legal version of Microsoft Office with the assistance of wine.
Also this could have been solved by using openoffice or anyone of the free versions of office.
It is not the Educators fault they have a class for Word. Microsoft probably pays them allot of money to do that. So take the money from Microsoft, explain to all the students that Microsoft is a corporate pig and train everyone with openoffice.
