FDA outlines rules for nanotechnology in food
Regulators are proposing that food companies that want to use tiny engineered particles in their packaging will have to provide extra testing data to show the products are safe.

Well its a good decision made by FDA because if their is any problem occured atleast that can be solved without much of damage.
Today nanotechnology is aslo useful in curing cancer.
