I agree. if Microsoft were manufacturing any other product they would of been sued out of business, or gone bankrupt, years ago. Use Safari or Firefox. |

I'm ready to go back to IE 7 for some real Inet speed.
Haven't they heard. If it ain't broke ..... |

You know what? For me IE8 pretty much worked perfectly until about a couple of weeks ago is periodically crashed when I open a link from email. It recovers the tabs and all but it's kind of annoying because I had to kill it after the page hung.
Was there some update that messed it up? Or if I reinstall it, will it work? Because then I'll have to reinstall all the add-ons. I like IE8 because sometimes there are site features and content that don't appear (or just don't work) in FireFox. So I use IE8 because I don't want to "miss" anything, and the accelerators, web snippet on top, and coustom search box. |

Yep, the demand from customers asking if there is anyway to return to IE 7 or in many cases IE6 is amazing. Better yet, forget Microsoft altogether and go with Firefox from Mozilla.

Actually, I solved this issue. I disabled some add-ons (not sure which one caused it...will find out when I have time) and it didn't crash anymore. I actually found the IE7 crashed more so I don't know what the gripe about IE8 was. But even IE7 can run sites that don't work on Firefox. I haven't used Safari, but that just looks like some cheezy Mac port so. lol |

Also, I used FF for a while before. It's not "bug free" just because it's not an MS product. No software is. As a matter of fact it has many bugs. The only real reason why ppl use FF is because they think it's somehow "more secure" than IE (not sure what kind of sites they visit) and that FF has a lot of independent add-ons from Open Source craziness (which some are buggy as well and can mess up your browser). So if you like to customize your browser like crazy and do all sorts of "internet stuff" in some unique fashion, then I think FF is pretty good. Otherwise, for me it's IE8 because I just can't take it when site features are missing. The worst part is that FF doesn't give you a "broken item". It just doesn't show and that's what bugs me.

What is equally interesting is now Windows 7 has arrived? Internet Explorer 8 doesn't seem to want to deal with Windows 7 either. It keeps shutting down and running away. Have to love Microsoft's own compatibility issues.
