The car culture and the resulting, inherently inefficient suburban sprawl will never be "green". It's like putting lipstick on a pig... Even with "green" cars (a contradiction in terms) there isn't enough room on the roads to accommodate them - just take a drive on I95 between New Haven and New York. Toxic batteries, noise, particulate pollution from brake linings, tire wear, etc...

Lipstick shouldn't be on anything.. the acid base always gets the best of the "wearer".. let alone the chemicals in other makeups. Without analyzing one's own chemistry,personal products should not be purchased over the counter for any reason.

I love how these people think they're green by driving "efficient cars" whilst LIVING IN A SPRAWL TOWN. Sheesh. The best thing we can do for the environment is stop paving over the earth with asphalt and let some trees grow instead of lawns. Live in cities and WALK.

Yet this guy thinks he's doing wonders doing absolutely nothing.
