You people have no idea what your talking about. First, of all study up on the GPS system that the state plans using on it's buses. This is not a GPS system that you put in your windshield to navigate your route. This is a system that allows the school system to monitor their bus routes, plan bus routes, reduce the idling time, get maintenence reports, and better yet SAVE ON FUEL. So if the school buses in your county could save 400 gallons a week, which in dollars equals about $1300 per week. For the year a total of $68,000. Hello people this is your tax dollars. This could be going back in your pocket or used for other technology for the school systems.

Not only should they install these devices on buses, but all state and county vehicles. I have been in the GPS tracking field for four year and have done extensive research. In my findings, state and county vehicles are abused more than any other business or organization. Just think about it. If your state school bus system can save $500,000 a year, just imagine what the total would be for the entire state and county fleets. Again your tax dollars.

Remember the people putting gas in these vehicles are not using their own money. They are using yours.

You complain about gas prices being to high. It's all about supply and demand. If your state demanded less gas than maybe the price to fill your car up would go down.

The cost to install this system would be paid for in the first year or less, just on the fuel savings. This is not including insurance discounts , less accidents, and increase your maintenence exspense by thirty percent. This would put millions back into your state and reduce your tax dollars.
