Court Upholds Speeding Ticket Despite GPS Evidence

A Sonoma County traffic court commissioner upheld a speeding ticket earned by a teenager who had pitted the accuracy of his in-car GPS tracking device against issuing officer's radar gun.

There's no doubt this will be used in the future. Instead of a second-by-second log tracking the driver's speed, an average speed will result that will reveal evidence of speeding.
