Don't Give Away Our Local Food, Health Care and Jobs -- a public meeting on CETA Kingston, Apr. 10
CETA (Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement) is being secretly negotiated between Canada and the European Union,
and, if signed, will have wide-spread negative effects on Canadians.
National Farmers Union Local 316 and the Council of Canadians are sponsoring a public meeting on CETA and its implications on Tuesday, April 10, at 7 pm at Memorial Hall, Kingston City Hall.
Confirmed speakers include Terry Boehm, NFU national president, Stuart Trew, trade campaigner for the Council of Canadians, Colleen Ross, national vice-president (policy) of the NFU, and Ted Hsu, MP for Kingston and the Islands.
