Well if they were following standards and paying attention to the email world and its changes they might not have this kind of issue. DMARC, SPF, DKIM etc. Just a few things to consider. It's not like you have to even go far to find information for this kind of stuff. www.unlocktheinbox.com for example has articles on all of the above and much more, including even some wizards for making the more difficult to figure out records.
