This is horrible. I keep thinking who in their right mind would...but that's just it, he is not in his right mind. Anyone who looks at child pornography is not in their rigt mind. I seriously hope that there were no local children involved.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Thanks for bringing in the guidance counselors? What? We just had a guy within our school resign for porn and you bring in counselors - guidance counselors at that - from the same monster (SWSD) where the bad guy came from. Make sure you continue to protect yourself SW - no outsiders allowed. Guidance counselors - what were they going to do conduct a PSSA with the studens while being counseled. That's crazy. I don't trust anyone in guidance any more than I trust the teachers, now.

I am sorry that you find the guidance counselors not helpful and only administering the PSSA's. My son's guidance counselor at the high school was fabulous. He helped him through many different issues at the high school. One person does not change everyone in the district.

Hey Evening Sun ..... Question ?

Looking back over the course of time and all of the various news articles, you always listed the name of the individual and also a physical street address, why are you not doing it in this article ? Are you being bias ? Is this article not the WOW factor ? Those people I am sure had nasty letters mailed to them, their families had to suffer because of publishing their address, are you finally wising up and making a change in your policy ? What you did to those people should follow suit in this article. I could care less really what you do, but I am making a point of what you previously did and are not doing now. Fair is Fair ......

He has not been charged of a crime. Publishing of addresses are acceptable after charges are made. Obviously WGAL showed the picture of his house last night in the news. I never thought I would defend the Evening Sun but many of you need to go back and that a Civics class and get the facts straight.

School Counselors are trained, certified counselors who have Master's Degrees and are trained to deal with these types of situations. Just because one teacher in the district made a poor choice does not make every person in the district a 'monster'. The students of Southwestern are surrounded by teachers, counselors, administrators and many others who care about their well being and want the best for them. Please don't judge an entire district based on the actions of one person.

Maybe you need to consider homeschooling your kids from now on if your going to be that overprotective of your kids and that condemming of all school guidence counselors.

Fox 43 also had his house on last night also. This isn't going to go away anytime soon. Not with all of the media involved.

I think that's what my tax dollars pay for. We have school psychologists(did you know that?), trained to help in cases like this. I'm sure if they feel a need to bring more doctors in they will. The guidance counselors will assist but we will bring out the BIG GUNS for this mess. If you have children in the district you need to move if you have such strong misguided ideas about the competance of our staff.

Very well put, I think that people are quick to misjudge just because of one person who did something wrong.

How sad. I guess I was hoping when this case broke it would involve pics of 17 yr old girls nude. Not saying that's right but maybe more able to comprehend. This is so sickening. I know Matt has not been charged but computers usually don't lie. He need serious help. Prayers for all who are slapped by this, especially the innocent, that includes the poor children in the pics.

The picture of the house that was shown on both (WGAL & FOX) news programs is NOT THE HOUSE MATT KRAPF LIVES IN!!!! He owns that house and is trying to sell it. He moved out of that house August 2008. I am currently renting that townhouse from him and have nothing to do with this situation! So please don't make a target on the house the news featured...he doesn't live there! They messed up as usual! As the Evening Sun's article says, he lives in Glenville.

Thank you for the clarification on that. You sound like your upset by this like alot of us are. No, I am not making where you live a target and worn't do that either. Thats just not a good thing to do. All I was saying is that it was on Fox 43, thats all. I have kids in the school district that he teaches in and they are quite upset by this and am hoping here that things will blow over soon. For the good of all who are involed. You just happen to be caught in the middle of this whole ugly mess. I am sorry if you thought that I was targeting you in anyway but am not. I was just saying it (the house) was on the news. You may be the renter but Mr. Krapf's name is on the deed to the property.
