Facebook already reaches into outside websites through Facebook Connect, which gives users a lifeline back to Facebook from the site. But the social network is gearing up to become even more of a presence on the web.

BTW, Studies show that fans of Topix on Facebook are smarter, funnier and better looking. You should really be part of that club.

While we are on the subject of Facebook Connect. I've asked around on Topix with different forum groups, but I've never asked you guys.

Would *YOU* use Facebook Connect with Topix?

I'm betting you guys may have a different take than I've been hearing from the less Techy forums.

No I would not. Alot of people joined FB to get away from the maddness of topix. We don't need it following us to FB. The moderating on topix sucks.

Absolutely not. No way. Can I put in a fire wall? I already had trouble with Topix nuts stealing from another site and attempting to deface images. You must be joking.

Tried Facebook for 10 months. A total waste of time. After 10 months it provided no discernible value whatsoever. Facebook connect was equally useless.
