Amazon Under Threat From ... Cleaner Air?

You wouldn't think that clean air would be bad for the Amazon rainforest but UK and Brazilian climate scientists writing in Nature say just that.

We will never, no matter how much money we give away to scientists, really know what's going on. Too much history to figure out in 150 years. In the end, I think, the earth will be just fine, as nature has a way of reclaiming it's own. Can't say the human race will be fine, but who knows and why worry about it? Once again you have allowed Fox news to mislead you. If you had read the original blog you would have seen that "clean air" was defined as low sulfates. Sulfates are bad for us but they reflect sun light bsack out into space and offset or slow Atlantic warming due to global change.. This warming causes drought in the Amazon hence sulphates(not dirty air) offset the process.
We've made a major mess of things and I'm sorry to say there are no simple answers..

You're right! I've been here 70 years and have seen these quasi-science agents reverse themselves too often. We, as a race, are not going to hurt this planet!
