I believe you have been down in the mine to long.
You godda watch the gamma radiation :-)
Actually, I have never been in a mine although from some studies you are subjected to more radiation flying than working next to a nuclear reactor.

What america should be, & what america is, has always been two separate wilderness trails. euros & transplanted euros have always been on the same path that led to the extinction of 15,000 Native Tribes, world-wide, in democidal genocide. The other 15000 Native Tribes have been left in stressed squalor on purpose, at the end of every broken treaty that euros & transplanted euros ever wrote, that were never understood by Native Tribes. Many treaties never were written, to the same effect. Isolated in untraveled, malnourishing nooks & crannies of the world in concentration camps(reservations), most Native Tribes compete for the worst longevities on the face of the Earth.
In america, transplanted euros think the 'Indian Wars' ended at the end of the 19th century. However, one-sided genocide continues to this day. Without their original lands, weapons, means to fend for themselves in alien worthless plots that transplanted euros didn't want for free, or any cultures to sustain them, plus continued suppression from their conquerors, Native Peoples exist at the bottom of survival...... or don't.
Of course, Hay, the Cow(phdudd) wouldn't understand.
There you have it folks the pin head litesout being disrespectful to this Great Country called America. There you have it folks the pin head litesout being disrespectful to this Great Country called America.

We have a past that is not exactly pristine. However, we cannot dwell upon the past and must try to do the civilized things today. We can't make up for our past transgressions but we can try to make sure they do not happen again.

Have a Merry Christmas.

You have never been in a mine? Somehow I've gathered that...
The second statement,in general,is true but largely immaterial.
A safe level of absorbed radiation is what an individual can tolerate....

I seemingly are not as pessimistic as some. I believe that we are making progress and are more civilized today than we were in the past. Like global warming, there will be noise along the way, but the trend is always positive.

Yes we must act fast. Santa broke record air speeds delivering the goodies on Christmas day changing the direction of the trade winds and the North East now has record snow fall.

The naysayers like earthling have been using the same excuse since the beginning of human civilisation: why clean up the filth? Let it sit in the street as it's always done.

new paper published in the European Geosciences Union journal Biogeosciences reconstructs sea ice coverage in the Beaufort Sea of the Canadian Arctic over the past 150 years and finds modern sea ice coverage [9.4 months per year] is significantly greater than during the period from ~ 1887-1945 [8.3 months per year]. Figure 4 of the paper shows modern sea ice coverage is amongst the highest levels of the entire 150 year record. The authors find that the reduced sea ice coverage from ~1887-1945 corresponded with reconstructed sea surface temperatures that were up to 3C warmer from 1885-1935 in comparison to the average modern temperature. According to the paper, sea ice coverage was dominated by natural variation from the Pacific Decadal Oscillation [PDO] and Arctic Oscillation [AO].

it is far more scientific and accurate 'phd', than the what ifs and maybes of the popular speculative computer models used by the global warming caused by man carnival barkers. in fact 'phd', being based on historic records it is far more believable.
