Well, you might still have chances to recover the deleted iPhone 4 photos. Not from iPhone or iTunes, just from your Mac machine. It just depends on when your deletion happens, before or after your most recent sync? If this happened after that, then probably you could rely on this data recovery program to get the lost photos back. Regards.

Recovering Deleted Photos directly from iPhone 4 via iTunes
Step 1
Launch iTunes and connect your iPhone to your computer with the USB sync and charge cable.
Step 2
Select your device in the panel on the left and click on the "Photos" link at the top of iTunes to select which photos you want to add to your iPhone.
Step 3
Click "Apply" to recover your saved photos.

In order to recover your deleted photos of your iPhone, there are two ways avaliable for you to choose, one is retrieve them through the iTunes backup files, it is based on that you have backed them up. Connect iPhone 4 to a PC via USB, then you can recover lost files from it with data recovery software.

Iphone Data recovery is effective and simple to use application which help you to get back your all deleted Images without any loss in quality. There are two different ways to recover your deleted images.

From iTunes Backup

First install Iphone data recovery in your computer then connect your iphone to the computer run the program and choose your device , select recovery mode “Recover from iTunes Backup File”

Select the backup files for your device and then click on “Start Scan” below. Just wait for scan result.

Actually, if you don't want to recover deleted photos from iPhone, you can try recovering from iTunes backup. Because every time you sync with iTunes, iTunes will create a backup of your iPhone.

If you have enabled iCloud, every time, your iPhone is connected to Wifi and a power source, and the screen is locked, iCloud will automatically backup your photos. So you can recover deleted photos from iPhone.

Other than restoring iPhone from iTunes or iCloud backup, there are still other solutions for you to get your photos back - use iPhone data recovery software.
