Could a quiet sun cancel global warming?

There are 10 comments on the The Washington Post story from Feb 28, 2013, titled Could a quiet sun cancel global warming?. In it, The Washington Post reports that:

Current solar cycle 24 shows fewer sunspot numbers than cycle 23 The current solar maximum, the high point in the sun's activity over an 11-year cycle, is the lowest in over 100 years NASA says .

Before this last solar high, we had a 100 year record TSI solar low that continued for 3+ years, ended in 2009 & was 1 to 2 parts per 1000, below the normal level of solar output. It was so problematic that the low TSI affected Earth weather, that toxic topix AGW deniers said that the solar effects would be delayed into the future.
toxic topix AGW deniers are betting on a major reduction of TSI into the decades ahead. They have tried to corral astronomers to go along with them. So far, what astronomers say is what this article states.

Michael Mann, professor of climate science at Penn State University:

“Studies that have looked at the longer-term impact of a potential 21st century grand solar minimum have found that the [temperature] response would be dwarfed by anthropogenic [manmade] warming [from the build-up of greenhouse gas concentrations].”

Judith Lean, a climate and solar scientist at the Naval Research Laboratory:

“Given our current understanding of how the sun varies and how climate responds, were the sun to enter a new Maunder Minimum, it would not mean a new Little Ice Age - it would simply slow down the current warming by a modest amount.”

Science cant say natural variation is a non-factor when temps are rising then use it as an excuse when they arent. Maybe space aliens are stealing our co2.

Another toxic topix AGW denier, without science & mathematics degrees or any science & mathematics for its poorly earned hi skule DEE-plooomaa, trying to say what AGW science never said.

Never have AGW scientists ever said that natural variation wasn't a factor in AGW warming.

I can see someone didnt bother to read the article that started this thread so it would be useless to post links with more information.

Deny this:
Science says comet hits are eventual and impending and science refuses to say the same about climate change leaving a climate criss as just a “likely” crisis so science has never said it “will” happen just might happen. Help my house is on fire maybe? Science doesn’t have consensus.
Find us one single IPCC warning report not smothered in “maybes”.
