Letting corporations police themselves is an easy way out of dealing with problems caused by those who are less than ethical. Problem is, a lot of corporations fall into that very category.
With blank checks and low monthly payments, credit card companies have caused so many financial problems for consumers by promoting going into debt with them. Who's policing that?

When anyone or anything is "policed" we need to police those doing the policing. This is why these large corporations have paid off all our elected officials to work for them instead of the people who elected them into office. Our elected representatives always vote for their large contributors and rarely do they do anything for those who voted for them.

Agreed! No one is doing any 'policing.' It is more like the government bending to the likes and dislikes of these major companies. It would be one thing if everyone had to play by the rules but since '08 it's become abundantly clear that there's no need for big businesses to obey the law and the government has no interest in enforcing that.

The problem is the insanity of "corporate personhood".

I'll agree that a corporation is a person with Rights when Baja-Oklahoma executes one.

Right, and PayPal
But... what we going to buy these bitcoins and accounts with if not credit cards?
I suppose it does put a third party between the credit companies and our purchases but it doesn't change the ultimate outcome if the card companies or the websites are doing business with those whose views we dislike
