Should evolution be taught in high school?

There are 179702 comments on the www.scientificblogging.com story from Feb 24, 2008, titled Should evolution be taught in high school?. In it, www.scientificblogging.com reports that:

Microbiologist Carl Woese is well known as an iconoclast. At 79 years of age, Woese is still shaking things up. Most recently, he stated in an interview with Wired that...

"My feeling is that evolution shouldn't be taught at the lower grades. You don't teach quantum mechanics in the grade schools. One has to be quite educated to work with these concepts; what they pass on as evolution in high schools is nothing but repetitious tripe that teachers don't understand."

There is no refutation in that paper, nor did I say there would be. I just added it to the end because it was related.
As I have already refuted your ideas about HLA-DRB and everything else in your post I did not feel up to doing it again.
You just repeat the same nonsense over and over no matter what gets said.
Just expressing your dislike for something does not constitute a refutation

I didn't know the second picture was your wife.

Congratulations! You did much better than I thought you could. Of course I can understand her feelings about wanting to marry someone else.

Russell, as usual you are wrong.

Why isn't the evolutionary change of bacteria evolution?

It seems that the reason you don't recognize evolution in the lab is because you do not understand evolution.

The Lenski experiment was an excellent example of evolution. Why did you think that was not evolution?

By the way, I guess you are saying that your wife is not as hot as the second picture you linked. Now that I can understand.

You thought the second picture was hot....

Now I'm worried

Any kids?

That would prove evolution is true and we'd be done debating

http://creation.com/stalins-ape-man-superwarr...

http://creation.com/ivanovs-ape-human-hybrid-...

And no

Its a great lab based experiment
Meticulously undertaken.....<nerd>

Its not the longest running experiment

And it does not "prove" anything

A mutated line was able to take up citrate

And so?

I don't think so.

I said I did not think you could get a woman that hot.

I stand corrected.
Any kids?

It is your wife we are talking about, how should I know if you have any kids.

An how would you breeding with your wife prove evolution?

You are jumping around uncontrollably. Did you get that behavior from your wife?

I did not say the Lenski experiment was the longest running experiment, where did you get that nonsense from?

And of course it does prove something. It proves that ecoli can evolve a trait that they did not have ahead of time. And it has done so repeatedly, that is the essence of science. Independently verifiable repeatable experiments.

Poor rusty, he does not understand.

Here is a banana. Give it to your wife and she might have sex with you again.

The differences between the two of you is too great. According to the theory of evolution you and your wife should not be able to have children at all.

Did you really expect me to divulge personal information to a complete stranger over the internet, because they don't think that humans are not separate from his living cousins and have the same
ancestors a very long time ago?

The only make believe I encompass myself in, IS the make believe idea some of you funditarded religulus science deniers can possibly grow a infidecimal sized brain that can be taught a simplistic concept about anything. BTW evolution is not a philosophy, it is a discipline of science that has many converging evidences to support that not only does evolution happen.
But we indeed share a common ancestor with all apes, because we ourselves are in fact a specific type of ape.

The issue isn't exactly teaching kids about evolution, but rather than telling them what to think than how to think. It is a theory, and theory will only confuse young underdeveloped minds without fully understanding the true concepts of evolution. Both aspects, religiously and scientifically lack complete evidence, even Darwin knew it.

You thinking apes are 'hot' may 'prove' evolution if you do something about it like marry one

Nothing wrong with apes

They're veritable humans as per YOU

But E coli can ALREADY utilise citrate

Of course I think that some apes are hot. Sophia Loren was hot in her day. Raquel Welch was very hot in her prime. And now Halle Berry is very hot. Yes, technically we are all apes. We did not expect you to marry a baboon. Oops, my apologies to your wife. Is she a chimp? I can't really tell from that photograph.

Only under certain conditions. The Lenski experiment opened up thier ability to digest citrate to different environments. It was quite a change.

Useless only to idiots and I am glad that you put yourself in that category. Adam and Eve are a myth and that has been clearly demonstrated.

So moron, why did you use your lying site to put up the story of the failed apemand experiment during Stalin's reign. They did not believe Darwin in the Soviet Union. Lysenkoism was definitely not Darwinian evolution. The writer of one of our articles was an idiot, humans mating with chimps would not be proof of evolution. In fact it would show there was something seriously wrong with it because evolutionary biologists know that the split between man and chimp was too far back for them to breed together successfully anymore.

Say hi to your wife and kids for me. Here is a banana.
