Telling the Truth about Islam

There are 27 comments on the American Thinker story from Feb 26, 2013, titled Telling the Truth about Islam. In it, American Thinker reports that:

Over the past two years, I have chronicled the ongoing travails of my intrepid colleague Lars Hedegaard, the Danish journalist and historian, most recently, his narrowly surviving an assassination attempt by a likely Muslim assailant.

Hedegaard's plight, and his voiced (and written) opinions on Islam whetted my curiosity about what the profound 19th century Danish writer and polymath, Søren Kierkegaard (1813-1855), may have opined -- if anything -- on the Muslim creed ...

from American Thinker:

"As it turns out, Kierkegaard took a rather dim view of 'Islamic monotheism,' relative to Judaism. Moreover, Kierkegaard was also forthright about Muhammad's -- and his Islamic votaries'-- perceived mandate for global conquest via military means (i.e., jihad), which he compared to the violent, late 18th to early 19th century Napoleonic land grab.

"'... It occurs to me that Napoleon much more resembles Mohammed than do any of the great generals of the past. Napoleon felt himself to be or at least played the part of a missionary, as one who brought along with him and fought for certain ideas...Napoleon's expedition went in the opposite direction to Mohammed's expansion, but through the same countries -- Mohammed from East to West, Napoleon from West to East.'

"Kierkegaard's overarching sentiments on Islam were echoed by America's first, and arguably still pre-eminent scholar of comparative religions, James Freeman Clarke ... Comparing Islam to Judaism, Clarke observes,

"'Goodness does not consist in obedience to divine will, but in conformity to the divine character. This is the doctrine of the Old Testament and one of its noblest characteristics ... Mohammedanism is a relapse [from Judaism]... for it makes God only an arbitrary sovereign whose will is to be obeyed without any reference to its moral character."

In the same way, jihadists obey their prophet, mohammad, without any reference to his moral character.

The truth is that if Napoleon much more resembles Mohammed than do any of the great generals of the past, then Mohammed resembles more of an imperialist than prophet.

'ST. ALPHONSUS CONDEMNS ISLAM AND THE KORAN, AND HE SAYS THAT MAHOMET (MUHAMMAD) IS IN HELL

St. Alphonsus, The History of Heresies & Their Refutation, Chap. 7, Article I, On Mahometanism (Islam):“The impious sect of Mahometanism sprung up in this century [the 7th]… Mahomet, the founder of this destroying sect… was born in Arabia, in 586… He [Mahomet] pretended to have long conversations with the Archangel Gabriel, in the cave of Hera… In the year 608, being then forty years of age, he began to give out that he was a Prophet, inspired by God, and he persuaded his relatives and domestics of this first, and then began to publicly preach in Mecca, and attack idolatry. At first, the people did not very willingly listen to him, and asked him to prove his mission by a miracle; but he told them that God sent him to preach the truth, and not to work miracles. The impostor, however, boasts of having wrought one, though ridiculous in the extreme: a piece, he says, fell off from the moon into his sleeve, and he fixed it on again; and it is said that this is the reason for the Mahometans adopting the half moon as the device of their Empire…
“He composed the Koran… It is a collection of precepts, taken from the Mosaic and Christian Law, together with many of his own, and interspersed with fables and ridiculous revelations…. He professes that there is but one God; but in his Alcoran [the Koran] he relates many trivialities unworthy of the Supreme Being, and the whole work is, in fact, filled with contradictions, as I have shown in my book on the ‘Truth of the Faith.’… The Mahometan Paradise, however, is only fit for beasts; for filthy sensual pleasure is all the believer has to expect there.”

What matters, is, that we own up to the truths we created or we have no right to judge others,---as we would be judged.

Most fear what they are not.

Most never had too. The mind does not work without the total truth. Most never understand such.

Most lie to themselves and others constantly, in so very many ways. There is no learning without all the truth, at every moment.

And again they do not.

'Dante, in The Divine Comedy: Inferno, placed Muhammad in Hell, with his entrails hanging out (Canto 28):

No barrel, not even one where the hoops and staves go every which way, was ever split open like one frayed Sinner I saw, ripped from chin to where we fart below.
His guts hung between his legs and displayed His vital organs, including that wretched sack Which converts to shit whatever gets conveyed down the gullet.
As I stared at him he looked back And with his hands pulled his chest open, Saying, "See how I split open the crack in myself! See how twisted and broken Mohammed is! Before me walks Ali, his face Cleft from chin to crown, grief–stricken."[56]
This scene is frequently shown in illustrations of the Divina Commedia. Muhammad is represented in a 15th century fresco Last Judgement by Giovanni da Modena and drawing on Dante, in the Church of San Petronio, Bologna, Italy.[57] and artwork by Salvador Dalí, Auguste Rodin, William Blake, and Gustave Doré.[58]'

You're wrong:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Muh...

'he earliest (documented) Christian knowledge of Muhammad stems from Byzantine sources, written shortly after Muhammad's death in 632. In the Doctrina Jacobi nuper baptizati, a dialogue between a recent Christian convert and several Jews, one participant writes that his brother "wrote to [him] saying that a deceiving prophet has appeared amidst the Saracens". Another participant in the Doctrina replies about Muhammad: "He is deceiving. For do prophets come with sword and chariot?,…[Y]ou will discover nothing true from the said prophet except human bloodshed".[3] One Christian who came under the early dominion of the Islamic Caliphate Christian was John of Damascus (c. 676–749 AD), who was familiar with Islam and Arabic. The second chapter of his book, The Fount of Wisdom, titled "Concerning Heresies", presents a series of discussions between Christians and Muslims. John claimed an Arian monk (whom he did not know was Bahira) influenced Muhammad and viewed the Islamic doctrines as nothing more than a hodgepodge culled from the Bible.[4] From the 9th century onwards, highly negative biographies of Muhammad were written in Latin,[5] such as the one by Alvarus of Cordoba proclaiming him the Anti-Christ.[6]'
