ps: Were there a large number of Hatian Puffer Fish in the mountains of Romania during Medieval times, or did the original article go a wee bit off topic?

I am looking forward to an article presenting the mathmatical explanation golfers having really bad taste in trousers.

Don't fret,
this is just some plausible deniability to throw the track cold. Those who know, know. Those who believe, believe..
Of course they couldn't come out and tell everyone we have Vampires living among us.. It would cause widespread panic..
Now,,they can safely walk, with no one looking..

Zombies are from Haiti, vampires are from Transylvania, Romania, at least thats where Dracula hailed from. Vampire stories go back thousands of years before Dracula and are found allover the place. These two scientists are real killjoys, and right before Halloween, shame on them.

why do people who don't believe in something, spend so much time attempting to debunk it? my understanding of vampires is, they don't bite one person and then go on to another. they bleed a person over a period of time, depending on their hunger. also, does it have to be human blood? it sounds like these two want to appear to be experts on a subject they know nothing about. their article must have made a big news splash, it came out over a year ago and is just getting publicity on it. how many things do we now know that a few hundred years ago, or less, was considered heresy? i'm no expert, but 'show me'!

have these so called scientists ever heared of a "vampire" bat, ticks, fleas, or mosquitos? These creatures feed on the bllod of others and yet don't always kill their pray, and yet they haven't overrun their hosts. Don't forget that the vampires were also hunted down by thier own pray, and vampires were supposedly fairly intellegent, maybe they knew that if they killed all of their pray there wouldn't be any food left(except each other). As for the ghosts they are the "spirit" or energy of the human being. It is said that matter or energy cannot be destroyed only rearranged. These "scientists" also tell us that there are these things like curved space, parellel dimentions, black holes, quirks and other subatomic particles, all of which are no better than someones guess and theries. Aren't these things based on something to do with energy?? They call themselves scientists but they aint that smart!!!

Some have supposed that 'vampires' were actually people suffering from rabies--they get that way from the bite of an infected animal or person; hypersensitivity to light, water, odors; nocturnal behavior due to impaired sleep patterns; etc. It may also be associated with werewolf legends.

Also, the legend is that a victim must consume some of the vampire's blood to be 'infected' and become a vampire--simply being bitten is not sufficient. If the researcher can't even get that straight, then he has no business publishing his work.

Ghost don't walk like humans. They are not human flesh. They are energy. They don't move like we do, they don't pick up an object like we do, they manipulate enery to move an object.

Vampires are very real and have probably existed as long as mankind. I have proof. If you don't believe me then just look at your nagging wife/lazy husband or negative co-worker(s) and tell me that they can't suck (drain) the positive life force (blood) right out of ya!! HA!

Oh, please. Mankind is a big population. Some people are really kind, loving, compassionate in every culture. Some grow to be that way by assimilation. Do we give them credit when it's due? Let there be more kind, loving, compassionate people everywhere.

As Arizona said, ghosts manipulate energy... ghosts are supposed to be spiritual in the first place which means that they exist outside of scientific measurements (distance, etc...). Their appearances are manipulations of minds, energy, etc... This is what makes scientists look so silly, as they assume that everything is measurable/dissectable and ignore the logic of philosophy which is rational, but unscientific (today's definition of science, since it used to simply mean 'knowledge'). Silly scientists; they are obviously not vampires.

Right, simple math does not explain this away. Sure if one vampire bit one person per month and made them a vampire, and each of those did that too, it would wipe out the population quickly.

But anyone who has seen the scientific documentary 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' knows that is not the case - they only make really pretty people fellow vampires.

Of course the existence of Vampires is a worthy subject for Academic Research. Hollywood requires a perpetual replenishment of the source of the understanding and beliefs associated with the Dread Customs and Appetites of The Undead.
