Smokers Mistakenly Believe Vitamins Protect Them From Cancer
Smokers who take a multivitamin pill may think they can smoke more because the supplement protects them from the harmful affects of cigarettes, according to a new study.

With the groups that these researchers found for their study it must have been tempting to do one of the ol' "Does intelligence decline from smoking"? studies.
I do appreciate the wording of the article in that they said things like "The study's authors concluded health-conscious smokers who take vitamins may wrongly feel less vulnerable...."
If she had left out "may" then it would no longer be about science or biology since there might actually be one person amongst them who has chosen a combination that is benefiting their health, depending on their genetics and possible diseases that chemicals in tobacco might be having a deterring effect on or the combination of certain vitamins and minerals along with these chemicals.
I am not saying she was thinking this when she said "may" but in this article at least she remained objective.
