Now the initial hysteria is dying down and the various organisations are being asked their position it is clear that USADA have gone solo with this.

The IOC appear to be setting out some initial comments in preparation of the Record being kept as it is. The 8 year issue noted by IOC will, I believe, be upheld and anything after 8 years left alone.

For me the +8 years Titles stripped and the lifetime ban are just USADA trying to get everyone on board for a ban in accordance with rules i.e. if they ask for the punishment in accordance with the rules they will get less so just go for broke and demand worse.

It may be their undoing as they have made a judgement and now seek others to ratify it which they may just throw out as non-compliant.
