The NBC reporter interviewing the USA girls gymists following their Silver award ceremony should be ashamed for her insensitive and unprofessional interviewing skills when asking the gymnists to pick apart their errors and faults. Pushed to tears, the gymnist who missed her beam and sat on the mat following her floor exercise, was inappropriately grilled by the reporter. Our kids are fabulous to be in the Olympics and it is very disappointing to see our NBC news casters use these insensitive tactics to make their news. I was proud with how each of the young ladies described their team and support for their team mates and country. They won a silver medal for god's sake, cut them a break and be proud for them! Disgusted with NBC from Kansas

It's horrible that these girls have to be torn to shreds by these people. They work so hard and for what? Critasim... Thats BS. Gymnastics is very difficult.( I know... I was a Gymnast for 6 yrs. and I still suck.) Give these girls some credit... They can do things most of us wish we could do. I'm sure the girls are under enough pressure already. NBC - Go to H***!

I am proud of the U.S. team. What a great role model in Alicia Sacramone,to not make excuses. As the mom of 3 gymnasts, you are my hero! Thank you for all your hard work and sacrifice.

Your comment indicates you are a sore winner! Look at how the USA men celebrated their bronze medal win! They were very happy with it!! Just getting into the Olympics is extremely demanding, physically and mentally. It takes everything these athletes have to make it--and it's not our place to criticize or judge them for doing their best. Let's celebrate with the Men and Women's gymnastics team--they made it there and did their best under hard circumstances (lots of injuries)!!! If anything is upsetting about the gymnastics event, it is that the Chinese girls are too small and inmature to be of age (16) to compete--I believe they are lying about their ages.

Yes, Alicia Sacramone made some major mistakes. What really impresses me is how she is handling the aftermath. The cameras have been in her face literally. It's as if they want to see if she is going to cry. If one tear drops, nbc has to make sure to catch it. Then they have to interview her and drill on her mistakes. Alicia owned her mistakes, no excuses. Very classy and an excellent role model. Alicia fell, she knows its, move on. All of the routines were packed with difficulty. The team won a silver medal! That's fantastic!! The way the entire team in front of the camera is sticking together is also very commendable. We could all learn from these mostly teenagers. Congratulations team USA.

NBC is only hungry for drama, tears and blood. No respect whatsoever. They should be ashamed of themselves. Wait until the athletes complain, NBC will pry blame "the media" for it.*holes.

When has it ever been an advantage for underage children to compete against older athletes? Stop talking about the young Chinese cheating the world for the Olympic Gold Medal. They deserve it and you all know it.
NBC "journalist" need to cover the Olympics with the same spirit as the athletes participating in the games. Stop making the Olympics a "reality show". We have enough of these junks in television.

David Lynch was spot on in his commentary. The floor reporter interviewing Alicia Sacramone put on the most disgusting example of preditory journalism I have ever seen. Shame on her for agreeing to use this kind of tactic, but greater shame on NBC for requiring it of her. One commentator stated that it "...alomost like..." they wante the athlete to cry. Let assure you, there is no "almost" about it, that is exactly what they are after. For NBC it is all about ratings, and the only message they will understand is our turning them off.

When I saw that interview, I thought "Does Andrea Joyce want Alicia to commit suicide in the hotel tonight?" Disgusting is right.

If Alicia hadn't fallen, the Americans STILL would have lost to China. They would've lost by a narrower margin, sure, but they would've still ended up with silver just the same. I hope everyone understands this.

I hope, above all, that Alicia understands this.

NBC reporters seem to lack compassion, patriotism, and good old fashion manners. Shame on Chris Collinsworth and Andrea Joyce.
