In fact, the idea that you think Austalian's (or people from any country) sees themselves as America's mate suggests that you have probably been living under a rock for the past 10 years, where, in the mean time, the world has lost quite a lot of respect for America.
-Anyone can make accusations - so no, I don't think much of it. There is no investigation because there is nothing to investigate - just baseless accusations. Other than that, you make no sense with the next point. I recommend you re-read the quote as a response to your reply.
-Yes to be honest we do tend to back the other country if it's USA vs XXXX. But no, that would not mean that if in a judge capacity we would not be objective.
-You want judges to consent before scoring? that has to be the dumbest thing i've heard. They already take measures to cut out outliers (the lowest and highest score isn't counted). and WRONG, if her score was so much different it wouldn't be counted. It's not brain science.
-I'm almost certain that each countries network is biased to cover their own athletes first. If you have watched 7, you would also have noticed that other countries have been covered (esp. this week, in athletics). In fact, it only seems to be America that goes to the length of going by MEDAL TOTAL and not by order of number of (much rarer) gold medals. clearly that mentality is just going to favour the bigger countries just by the sheer number of athletes they send.
-funny, I watched Phelps win his 8th gold and they (rightfully) covered it in detail (saying that they quickly cut to something else is just BS, and makes you further look like a clown).
-I wish America had more access to other countries media because then there would be the realisation that there is a long way to go before the world respects you again.
-Firstly, your the fool for watching today/tonight in the first place. Today/tonight is like America's Fox 'news - they have no cedibility whatsoever. So most intelligent people would be wary about watching it to be informed (it is largely watched for sheer entertainment, actually). I can't think of any Australian Athlete that has been nasty to an American athlete. I CAN however think of an instant where an American was nasty to an Australian athlete (that idiot who said he would smash Ian Thorpe like a guitar - luckily he ate his words).
Im not sure of Yank Down Under was even watching the olympics at all and is just here to make us look like a terrible nation.

Sad enough for poor ol America, this is too true. We are not the only country who feels this way.

Fourth, Kexin should be in diapers, and because she was underaged (small frame) that is why should do the tricks that she did. That is why the 16 year old rule is in place. Fifth, i would like to see you correct my spelling to my face here in Indiana.
Ohhh the Yank whips out the "to my face" threat. Hahaha, why would we waste our precious dollars in America? Gymnastics is such a trivial sport. People need to move on and stop crying, really. You were never going to beat the Chinese in terms of gold. China has beat you in the gold tally for the first time in many years, remember if it hurts that much within you should see a counsellor.

to your first: no wonder why there is a strong connotation of racism in your language. get out of your hole and know that there is so much more to the world than your little american suburb that has no ring to it.
to your second: there is more to the world than this trivial scandal. again, get out of your hole, you and your `companions`, and know that there is more to the world than one gold medal and your `opinions`. tis sad actually- this is all you talk about? australia has a lot more exciting things and important things to worry about.
and third: ok, gary hall said the american relay team would beat the australians like strumming a guitar (and got owned big time) and publicly spoke against us. so it was in sydney so let's say we'll throw him into jail huh? no, maybe in your american laws once again. aussies aren't like that, thank god.
and fourth: giving the same complement is nice. we all know she is too young and too good. small frame, yes, but its a part of asian genetics as far as statistics go. why don't you take into account that nastia has the right height to reach the bars, which is a disadvantage to kexin?
about the diapers thing, if you intend to insult, it reminds me of that kids song `dibber dobbers wear nappies...`. LOL. this`insult` only comes from people with the mentality of one who wears a diaper, for other kids in diapers. give us a good insult that reflects your age, not a parody of a toddler/ kindergarten one. thanks. oh and speaking of age, shawn johnson is turning 16 soon. so what is your 16 year old rule?
and fifth: looks like you'll need it, but how about you come, coz it'd mean i would have to migrate to america to correct yours. lets start with basics and go back to your grammar school first.

awaiting your reply ;)

My reply is to jump on the next flight to sydney, and straighten your aussie asss out. Also, im not the racist, you are. I saw a few years ago that Austrailians running out beating up muslims on the beaches. Also, you made an ugly sterotype when you said all Chinese women are small framed. Finally, the more i read from you Austrialians the more i think i ought to come to Sydney, go to the nearest bar, and start straightening out some punk Austrailians.

straighten our asses out? mate you need to calm down. i'm here to have some fun with debating, not causing some big deal war of some sort, if that's what you see it as. and who are you calling racist? i've no intentions of racism, so pick out something from my comments which sound racist if you like and i'll explain. and no, you can't accuse me of being racist and bashing up lebs coz i'm a young girl to begin with. if you want to offend, which is not tasteful, at least think of a better accusation that sounds real and that can attack the opponent coz i'm just laughing at the screen.
the beach incident was the cronulla riots which began with australian women being harrassed on the beach. yes both sides egged each other on, but hey, pick out one place without any racism and i'll congratulate you. oh and instead of dwelling on racist subjects, get to the point instead of picking points that have nothing to do with this.
i never made an ugly stereotype of chinese women. you made the image they were small framed first and you know it! you associated them with diapers, implying immaturity, when ironically it well reflects your immature mentality and behavior. i said asians were genetically smaller and it is of no offense because i'm an asian myself (funny its my second language at the age of 6 and i'm talking to you about language and grammar!). you used their size as an offense and you cannot deny that. i used it as a complement to show their skill despite their disadvantage of height. a little skill in comprehension would help.
and about the bashing australians at the bar thing again, this is clearly racism. if you could actually answer my questions and have decent points to say, i'm sure you wouldn't be raging unnecessarily like this. and may i question- what would bashing something in a bar do to you? isn't this something called injustice and irrationality? aren't you ashamed of this?
so here's a tip to control your anger and overreaction: this is a mental challenge, not a test of physical strength. think before you say and get across some good comments instead of rambling as your train of thought goes.
sorry if it sounds demeaning but i'm being serious.

Yank Down Under wrote:
As an American living down Under, I am shocked at the blatant anti-American media coverage and negative tone written and covered by every Australian media source one can consume here. The Aussies are pretty two faced... they speak of a fair go and mateship, but apparently that stopped with their grandparents. Todays Aussies are NOT friends of Americans, are needlessly rude, hyper-competitive and their coverage of the Olympics is SHOCKING. It lacks the human interest stories from olympians the world over, as we see in most other first world countries... instead they only celebrate their own victories (which are on the decline) and skip most coverage of events they are not strong in. They even show an Adjusted medal count on their sunrise program, that factors out the US so they can be on top. PAthetic for a country that used to be proud to punch above their weight, now they need to adjust? Its deplorable. Yanks wake up, these people are not the great mates they pretend to be. I love the country their parents and grandparents built, but 8 of 10 modern-day Aussies are bloody wankers. Massive case of sour grapes. Any examination of the facts points to helen showing bias, which is no the Olympic spirit. Any you Aussies have all but forgotten about Grant Hackett, after counting on the gold from him. Shame on you, he deserves better treatment, and is a great sporting example for you all.

Well as if that wasn't expected.... Another typical arrogant American response. Americans always "think" they are the best. Keep giving yourself that motivational speech and if you say it often enough you'll start to believe it's the truth, even when it isn't. High Five Maury Povich!
