The Olympic committee should do more than yank the medal, they should ban China from participating in the next Olympics. Clearly, the officials knew the girl was underage and it is important to set a precedent that sends a clear message of zero tolerance when it comes to breaking the rules.

In addition to being the biggest intellectual property thieves on the planet, they now resort to lying about their ages. It's institutionalized. What's going to happen next time? They'll just be better lairs.

If China starts winning at gymnastics, I'll watch a rerun of 2 1/2 Men. Problem solved.

There shouldn't be a min age in the olympics.

I agree with a minimum age. Otherwise, what's to stop China from pulling that kid away from making fireworks at their desk in 3rd grade and putting them to work in an Olympic sweatshop?

On second thought...

In some areas perhaps but not in gymnastics. Young, prepubescent girls have a physical advantage but studies have shown they are also more susceptible to eating disorders, weakened bones, stunted growth, injuries, and psychological problems.

Just because they are not competing does not mean they are not training even here in America. Do you feel there is a big difference between training exercises and competing.

I went to the solar energy convention in the Buffalo Convention Center last year. Several of the vendors were openly calling for a camera ban at future conventions because Chinese intellectual property thieves were snapping away at a mile a minute.

The Chinese have learned their lesson. I wouldn't put it past them to give their little twelve year old athletes drugs to "pube 'em up" and the problem will be solved.

There isn't a difference if young girls are competing against each other but it is a huge difference if young girls are competing against girls who have matured. It is, of course, a disgrace if a country lies about the age of their girls so that they can have an unfair advantage.

What's your point?

We did not start this war. The Muslims did.

Since 1979 the Muslims have killed over 9,000 innocent unarmed American citizens with the last attack at Fort hood Texas.

Jimmy Carter tried to negotiate with the Muslims which only intensified the Muslims attacks against us.

Ronald Reagan tried to pay Saddam to do our fighting for us which only made yet another enemy out of him.

Bush Sr. used the Muslim's war against us to insight a war with Iraq.

Bill Clinton tried to appease the Muslims which led to TWA 800 getting shot down and the attack on 9-11.

Bush Jr. used the attack on 9-11 to invade Afghanistan. No Muslims attacked us during Bush's terms in office.

Now we have Barry Soetoro who also wants to negotiate with the Muslims and so far it has lead to more American deaths.

So once again I am asking what's your point?

Violence won’t solve a thing. It makes it more challenging to solve, though.

This is about 10 years too late. They should be banned NOW for a year (next olympics). And lets check into that young one that was there in the last summer olympics. They all are very young, the girls look pre pubescent. But I have a feeling it is more political that we would like to know. I see things in black and white. Break the rules, out ya go. Seems simple enough. But 10 years to make the decision, shame shame

Bush lied about EVERYTHING.

Saddam had to be taken out. Saddam gave us no other choice. And NO it had absolutely nothing to do with Saddam having weapons he DID NOT have. I told ya'll that Bush was lying back in 2001 and ya'll told me to go back on my meds and that I was just being delusional.

That in NO WAY alters the fact that we are at war because the Muslims declared WAR against us back in 1979.

If we are able to hit the Muslims where it will do the most good then we can break their will to continue THEIR WAR against us.

In order to accomplish that we need to have someone in the White House who actually knows what he is doing.

Someone like ME!

A United States Combat Marine who has stood the test on the field of battle and actually knows first hand what war is all about.
