After this Olympics and next 2 or 3 seasons, basketball will be solely on the backs of Lebron James and Kevin Durant.

Yep, the Finals were the prelude to that.

NBA is all about these two right now. Kobe has lost a step or two and at least four inches in his vertical. which is still better than 90% of the NBA players.

I know Kobe's got an insatiable hunger for winning that rivals MJ's but as a Laker fan I really wish he would have sat out and not done the Olympics. He's got arguably 2 good years left and this Olympic run could very well make this next year a bust unless we get over the top massive contributions from Bynum(if he's there)Gasol and Nash.

I really don't think him being there was completely necessary.

If the US Olympic basketball team is so pathetic that they have to get professional NBA players to play against amateur teams, then the US basketball team is a joke!

Let the amateur basketball players from various American colleges and even high schools play in the Olympics. Let them have their day in the sun. It's also disgusting to know that the US Olympic team members are wearing "Made in China" clothes and shoes!

This is the Obama Nation - the lowest point in american history and olympics competition!

They are not playing amateurs anymore. Euro league has some very good talent. When you mix them with some quality NBA players, you get solid competition. That's why USA only took bronze in 04 I think it was when we took the world lightly

Sounds as if "Obama Nation" is trying to blame the 2012 men's bball team and it's use of top NBA talent on Obama himself. Granted it can rain on a day they don't want it to and Obama will get the blame.

Anyway, I actually agree to a point that we shouldn't use our elite NBA players and that we should kind of go in the direction David Stern said before that we should use our best rookies and sophomore players mostly the ones who are under 23 to preserve our elite for the NBA and because so much is riding on a Kobe or a LeBron for their respective NBA teams and what else do players like them have to prove?

I also agree with you as usual Solution. The world as far as bball goes is much, much better to where if we send a team of high school players and college players mixed with young NBA players we're basically just sending them to their doom. There's just no way they could compete especially on the highest level and bring home a medal of any color period.

BTW, save the politics and the president bashing for the political threads and topics. Talk bball all you want if you can hang. Better yet, if you want to talk politics look up and private message "Ginobili" or "Snowflake". They'll entertain you.

JL trust me, is the real thing, his game has been elevated and he will elevate Houston, he is my home boy, only a few hundred miles from his ancestral home. JL's two favorite teas are Jasmine and Oolong, now do u believe me?

Alright I admit it I am half Chinese and half crazy. So you red-necks can eat your heart out, since China has gotten so strong everyone wants to be a Chinese, but there are criterias. KoMe is not clutch, LBJ's fourth quarter hooting percentage and game winning shots are a lot higher than KoMe's. KoMe can not guard LBJ. Kobe at 27 trails LBJ in many offensive and defensive categories.

Kobe's WANTS the last shot of a big game. Lebron doesn't have the clutch gene like Kobe. Lebron doesn't even hit his free throws regularly in clutch time. Don't ever compare lebrons clutch game to black mamba

Ok, I hope that's the truth but you shouldn't be ashamed no matter what you are. I already told you I'm at least 1/4 Asian so there's no red-neckin here.

Kobe's clutch. Is he as clutch as MJ? No but nobody is. Kobe is as clutch as it gets since MJ hung them up and LBJ and clutch should never be used in the same sentence. Yes, I can see LBJ at 27 compared to Kobe at 27 leading him in certain categories but like I said before, LBJ is probably the best all around player the NBA has ever had and Kobe is a shooting guard supreme. They are both "lock-down" defenders but the point is, their games are different.

Guys, you're wasting your time with Shitnobili ^ up there....4 years creating lies on Topix.

He was a coach, an NBA player, he's 6'7 287lbs of rock hard dense muscle with a 12" d!ck.

He hates Kobe, then loves him, he's better than MJ than can't hold his jock. He hates blacks and chinese people now, he's one himself! LOL!

Remember the Yao Ming thread Ginobili (377 days ago)...where you had some very "colorful" words about chinese people and how you wish the league existed today, ONLY with your "clean aryan blooded people"?

Chinese...wow.

Either that or he never got over being waived from every NBA team he claims to be with.
