Spaniard Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez became the first winner on the second day of the Olympic tennis event after blitzing Australian Alicia Molik as quick wins are essential on a day with 65 scheduled matches.

I think Alicia should give up on singles because she will never be as good as she was before her ear infection,should get a new doubles partner,and play doubles only, as Rennie Stubbs does.
