Today my supervisor & a bunch of us were at lunch talking about the late-nite radio show COAST TO COAST A.M. Then he asked us if we knew whatever became of one of the shows guests called Glenn Kimball. We all knew who he meant, but we didn't know anything recent. One woman said she heard he died in 2010. An older guy said Kimball had gone into seclusion in ill health somewhere in southern Illinois. We checked the Internet & nothing on his whereabouts. One website showed that he died in 2010, according to his "daughter." But another 2011 website said Kimball left the USA in disgrace over being found not to be college degreed or a true scholar. Has anyone out there heard about this Kimball guy?

Glenn Kimball is supposedly deceased (2010). I've listened to "Coast to Coast" on late night radio for over 20 years and Kimball was a guest many times. That radio show had his biography posted on its website & Kimball claimed to be a PhD and scholar, but many doubted it.
As I recall, one of the hosts of "Coast to Coast" years ago questioned Kimball's claim as an expert in early Christianity. Kimball had a BA in communications, but his claim for a PhD was unverified in the National Directory of Higher Education Degrees. He never divulged what academic discipline his alleged PhD was for. And his claim to be an instructor or professor at Southern Illinois University was also unverifiable when the school's personnel department was queried and replied that he never taught there. One problem was that he advocated the use of fabricated ancient texts that even the leading Catholic scholars knew were bogus texts. It was in 2003 that some legitimate scholars posted an expose on the Internet of Glenn Kimball's bogus credentials and ignorance of scholarly research protocols. However, he was indeed a degreed journalist, but not a legitimate scholar of ancient history. This is all old news. |

I'm a fan & listener of Coast to Coast radio. And I recall Glenn Kimball's interviews on the show going back several years. I taped some of his shows on Christ & the New Testament years ago. Some of his claims seemed pretty wild and far-fetched. Then the ancient writings he referred to turned out to be fake or fabrications when I took the time to research them. And he kept referring to them in later shows on Coast to Coast as though they were legitimate ancient texts! Man, what a character! Why wouldl he spread all that fake information? Is he really dead now?

Glenn Kimball is dead?? Over the past 15 or so years, I've listened to Kimball as a guest of "Coast to Coast" radio show with disbelief in his professionalism.
As a professional historian, I have serious doubts about Mr. Kimball's professional credentials and his research methodology. Even Dr. Robert Ghost Wolf exposes Kimball's activities & the truth about his alleged academic career and non-existent advanced degrees on Dr. Ghost Wolf's website: www.robertghostwolf.com/kimball.htm So you can read the results for yourself of an investigation into Glenn Kimball's background by other professional colleagues of Dr. Ghost Wolf. I am distressed as to why George Noory, host of "Coast to Coast AM" radio show continues to replay past recorded shows of Mr. Kimball who conveys misinformation and unscholarly practices during his interviews. If Mr. Kimball (notice I do not call him Doctor Kimball!) is truly deceased, Mr. Noory should retire those interviews from public airings. |

Glenn Kimball the pseudo-scholar is dead. Today I checked on the website of Dr. Robert Ghost Wolf about the investigation into Kimball's background too. I learned that Kimball was not employed at Southern Illinois University as a teacher/instructor/educator/pr ofessor and did not achieve the PhD as claimed. The college he founded, Kimball College, is not an accredited educational institution. Was he a fraud or just a delusional New Age opportunist?

What an incredible load of nonsensical BS. To be so arrogant as to assume because one doesn't have a PhD one cannot produce credible research, I find nauseatingly arrogant.
I have worked with PhD scholars who literally did not know how to use a wrench. However, Astronomy is filled with amateurs and have produced excellent results and discoveries. Has anyone of you academia snobs made as much of an impact as this man? I doubt it somehow. Universities are filled with wannabes and shouldabeens. If Glenn managed to get people to think about this subject, then praise the Lord.... |

As an addendum to the above post,I have just read again a couple of sentences from Glenn's book "Hidden stories of the childhood of Jesus" and he puts the point far more succinctly than I ever could.
"They (the academics)have their own faithless hidden agendas which have all but taken the miracle out of the most miraculous event in history" Well said Glenn. |
