Why wasn't the teacher who was in it with the couple charged with harboring a runaway? She is still teaching at Wood River High School.

Has anyone even noticed that the step-daughter in the past month or even longer has seldom mentioned Bonnie missing and has been overly excited about her GLEE show and what time it comes on...Im sorry but it just seems really odd that she has little thought process or feeling into this woman that has raised her missing.

Ok does no one watch the news anymore. She was reported missing in June i remember the news report about it. I remember it disticntly because it involved the nursing home.
Like someone stated earlier, i too watch the news every night and not ONCE have i seen ANYTHING on this story. They must have not reported it in my area.

Let's put the pieces together shall we.....Bonnie's daughter Heather get's involved with an area church. She reports abuse and neglect to the people at church regarding her step-mother Bonnie who lead a carefree lifestyle. One of the people from that church who hears this is her high school teacher, who is obligated, AS A TEACHER, to report any signs of abuse to the administrators of the school and the police. Instead, Heather runs away and stays at the teacher's house. NOW, it looks like Roger Carroll Junior, also from the church, is the one who arrives at the nursing home,(and owns the car that was described when she goes missing)and takes Bonnie with him, probably luring her in with information on the step-daughter. A neighbor of Roger Carroll Junior told Rocky Madden yesterday that 2 days after Bonnie went missing, they heard a gun shot out in the woods by their house and thought it to be very strange. Not soon after that, Heather moves locations and goes to stay at Roger Carroll's house before MYSTERIOUSLY, ya right, turning up at the East Alton-Wood River library ON HER 18TH BIRTHDAY. Clever! I think it's pretty obvious what's happened here. It's just a matter of finding the evidence needed to put these people away for their part in what has happened. My prayers go out to the sister and step-sister who have posted on here as well as all the friends and family. I know they are trying to get this case wrapped up before Friday which is the start of Bow season. That's why there has been such a large amount of law enforcement out there. And as well as having the cadavier dogs out there, they also have these lawnmower type scanners going over the land that can detect if anything is buried beneath the soil up to 200 feet. I have faith they will find Bonnie out there and the healing can then begin.

Heather walked into a public library one day and announced herself found. Kind of weird.
I think daughter did it.
I am inclined to agree with you. She runs away, mom goes missing then she comes home? Something is fishy. If the Man did it I can see him letting the daughter just go on home.

They reported it several times over the past 3 months where have you been? There are even pictures of Bonnie in the grocery stores.

I hate to say it, but I found it kind of fishy that Heather showed up right after Bonnie went missing. If the do happen to find Bonnie. I hope that they take a second look at Heather too. Because what transpired with her is just plain wrong. My heart goes out to the family.

Why is there no interview of Heather? She looks really involved to me (JMO, naturally). Plus, if the religious types wanted to blackmail her, all they'd have to do is say, "We know what you did last summer--but if you repent and follow Jesus the way we do, we won't rat on you."

I read that Heather walked into a public library and announced who she was. She didn't go to the police, that is, even though she was an official missing person. That looks really suspicious.

I live in Alton and some of the things I am reading here I don't understand. For all of you saying the daughter was "held". She ran away and was staying there by her choice. I am not saying it is right that the Carroll's allowed her to stay there without letting anyone know, I am simply stating that she was not kidnapped, tortured, etc. Also they didn't "find" the daughter, she turned herself in right when she turned 18. Some of you may just have been hearing about this but it has been in the news since the day she disappeared. Did the Carroll's have anything to do with her disappearance? Probably. What about the teacher from Wood River, how involved is she? And I'd be willing to bet the daughter, Heather has something to do with all of it too. We'll just have to wait and see.

Do the Police in that area know that Rodger Carrol took his boat on vacation right after that woman disappeared? Further more do they know where he went with it and that he sold it right after he came back? I haven't heard or seen anything about it but thought since you all were following the story that you might want to check it out. He took his boat to Lake KinKaid in Murphysboro Illinois for a week right after this woman went missing. And when I say right after I mean his vacation was the weekend of June 26th.

Hey if I were you I start first at her home, such as family first. Then her friends next, and then the folks she is in contact with every day.Like coworkers or even old bosses.Leave no path unchecked check all your fine points first. Is it possible she just left the area?See there is several factors here that need to be covered.Check her banking account and see when the last action was taken.Check her phone service and see what her last call was.And last of all talk to her pastor if she attended church and see if she contacted him before leaving or even after she left. There are so many ways of getting what you need and this is just a few.Folks I know what I am talking about because I had 3years of law in college plus I work with the law off and on.I pray that you find her safe and that no harm has come to her.God bless you all...

Bonnie is my mother and before you go on here thinking you know wats going on get your facts straight! We reported my mother missing the day she didnt come home. And Roger and Monica Carroll the people that claim to be religious admitted to hiding heather and so did the teacher Christine Schuffel. Now Rogers fingerprints were found on my mothers vehicle. So the Carrols are the result of my mothers disappearance. My mother has been on the news numerous times so obviously Sullygirl you dont watch t.v. when you should! you seem to act like you know whats going on and you dont know anything. Like my aunt said google her name and you'll find about 97 different results.Or do you know how to that since it isnt running your mouth???
